Beautiful and challenging
The course is in Great shape. Very challenging layout from the tips. Got a great price on Golfnow so couldn't beat the experience.
Excellent Course
I'm not an avid golfer but I do like course. The fairways are manicured very well and the greens play superbly! I got a dog, Sprite, bottle of water and a shot of Goose at the turn with great service! My round of 18 got cut short and they didn't hesitate to offer a rain check for the back 9. I would highly recommend this course! I drove an hour to play and it was worth it.
Great North Houston Course
Course was in great shape considering we haven't had rain in a month. Greens were a bit slow, but rolled true. Course had some good character, number 9 is a short par 5, but heavily guarded green. I really liked it. I teed off at 10:30 and had the course to ourselves on a Wednesday in August. Well worth the drive to Conroe. I'll be back.
Beautiful Golf Course
Played here last week with a buddy, we both thought it was well maintained with lush fairways and a friendly staff!! Only issue was that some of the greens were somewhat spotty. Got a great deal thru Golfnow, I would recommend this course and plan on playing here again myself.
Nice Course!
Full lush fairways....greens receptive and fast...roll true...got a great price on golfnow so i had excellent value
Great layout.
Very friendly staff. Course was in great condition. I live south of Houston, so it was quite a bit of a drive, but it was well worth it. I will be back soon.
Beautiful course
Very pretty course we'll maintained good course for a beginner or skilled golfer wish it was closer to my house
The course layout was nice
The rough is nice and thick. Make sure to keep it in the fairway. The only complaint I have is the greens. Each green had about 1/3 of it damaged and no way you would putt through it true. Also, the card distance for White is not true, about 20 less. Luckily, I have a garmin that saved me on the par 3 tee boxes
Father Son day
The course was in decent shape. Only real issues were with the greens. Several of the greens had bad spots and the sand traps were wet packed sand. Thanks to the Golf Now price of $20 each including cart made it all worth it. No way I would have paid full price. That would have been a very disappointing day.
beautiful course
This was a beautiful course, in great condition especially considering it was mid July. Only problem was not enough water on the course.
A very challenging course.
Great Course
Great course for the money! I played here a couple times as a kid 25 years ago when it was called Del Lago. It's a great bargain at $20 and I was surprised to find it on golfnow.com under $30. Was nice to remember a bit of childhood playing here today. Most courses this quality run $45+ for a green fee so if you spot this course under $30 on golfnow grab it. It is worth the extra drive once in awhile to play this course.
Really Good Course
This is the first time I have played this course since it was overhauled and changed from Del Lago to La Torretta. The course was in excellent shape, except the greens still had some winter damage. The greens were a little slow and bumpy, but the condition of the rest of the course was fantastic. We played the yellow (senior) tees at 6000+ yards because it was wet and the white (men's) tee were 6500+ yards and had 6 par 4s at 410-442 yards. Glad we did it played long with water in play on many holes. I plan to play the whites next time. We got a great deal on GolfNow and it was great. The only negative was no water on the course (in 90 degree weather there should be water available) and the prices of food and drinks were very high and the service was poor. I will certainly go back with a discount.
Dont miss La Toretta
This is second time playing La Toretta since its re-do & its in excellent shape...plush fairways, true greens & thick sanded bunkers. It had rained the day before I played so only a few wet fairways. Pace of play was excellent. One of the best conditioned golf courses I've played. It is well worth the drive to get to La Toretta, you wont regret it!
La Torretta
Course conditions: Tee Boxes were fair with splotchy grass, Fairways were in great shape, Greens were poor to awful.
Layout was nice, nothing exciting. Front nine was especially tight which made things interesting.
Pace of play, front nine was not bad play through one foursome and a twosome. Once on the back ran into several groups that were making no effort to play at a reasonable place and were not going to let anyone play through.
No marshall out to help with pace of play.
Needs help
Greens are horrible. Traps not raked, weeds growing in them. Nothing cut between holes high grass, weeds everywhere. Not 4 star resort that's for sure. Had a 20 dollar online special that lured me out on a Saturday to be disappointed again. Better options all over Conroe,Woodlands,Spring
Nice course
The course was really nice. I experience a few scattered showers while playing. I had the course to myself on a Wednesday. The only complaint I have was the water coolers didn't have cold water. Other than that my experience was fine.
challenging course
Course well kept shape had a blast can't wait to play again in the near future
Excellent course
I booked this course on a hot deal. It was amazing beautiful course well kept. They didn't have a beverage cart so you could take your own cooler or they would furnish you with one. A great deal. I'll definitely go back
Haven't trimmed trees in years
I have two big problems with this course, first some t-boxes are almost impossible to hit from due to overgrown trees (#2 blue t comes to mind). Second, real estate, kids, and windows are in play about 50% of the shots. Done with this place.
Best course conditions
This course is perfect!! Lush green fairways and well maintained greens. Hitting the ball out of the fairway is like hitting off carpet. This is one of if not the best conditioned course I've played in the greater Houston area. A must play for golfers looking for great conditions.
