Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe (formerly the La Torretta Golf Resort), is a newly branded and updated resort on the shores of Lake Conroe near Houston, Texas. The property reopened in 2020 and features an 18-hole golf course designed in 2007 by Jeffrey Blume. The resort features lakefront access to Lake Conroe as well as multiple pools and a swim-up bar. There is a large amount of group and meeting space for corporate events and weddings. For larger groups and families, there are over 30 2- and 3-bedroom villas to choose from.Facts

First and last time playing here
The greens were decent but the fairways were horrible. Idk how this course rates as 4 stars. I give it a one.
Great Value with Plus Greens
Very impressed with the greens. If this wasn’t a long drive for me I would think of becoming a member.
I hadn’t played this course since the ownership change and they have done a great job.
Highly recommend playing here.
Good course
I was behind a foursome of older guys and by myself. A twosome was behind me so I asked them to join me for a threesome. The course was okay for the time of year. The greens were pretty slow but not consistent and made for iffy putting results
My Favorite Course in Conroe
Montgomery County has many wonderful golf facilities, but the Club at Maragritaville is a wonderful and exceptional course with a beautiful view of Lake Conroe, friendly staff and some of the most unique courses in the area. We did this as a date and were so happy that we chose this activity.
January Weekend
8am tee time arrive 7:15am
Weather was chilly but dry
On arrival we are told range is closed
Course was waterlogged and cart path only
Yet a full $80 was charged
Great layout course but come on .. that should have been discounted !!
Golf course
This course has really gotten better in the last year.
Resort prices without resort services
No staffing of bag drop. All carts were wet, inside and out. We had to dry the seats and underside of the roof. Small driving range. Greens and fairways were patchy. Course layout is very narrow, with rough that is penal.

Unexpected road trip from Va just needed some time for myself.

Course in better shape than reviews…much better shape than Augusta Pines-played day before…
New guest
Brought along a buddy. His first time around the course and wasn't disappointed. Course is in great shape and staff very friendly. The layout has challenge and lovely views. Food is tasty .
A couple scramble groups played thru at the turn while grabbing a bite. No problem, they were fast moving. Except for the last group. 2-3 balls by each player on every hole. Pace slowed to a crawl. A Marshall would have been nice. Sorry but 2:45 minutes to play the back is long. Guess they hate their wives.
Thank you so much for your thorough feedback, we have made many recent upgrades to the golf course including, a renovated Clubhouse, extensive repairs to the cart paths and repairs to the bunkers; much work remains but we are working ward to improve the golfing experience and so feedback like yours is very helpful in gauging our progress.
We are diligent in understanding our competitive market and do value the relationship between product and price, and believe, that our product offers an excellent price/value relationship and receive supporting feedback to that premise on a daily basis.
