About Rayburn Country Resort
Rayburn Country Club closed in February 2020 and was given new life under a new owner as Rayburn Country Resort, a family-friendly destination. The 27-hole course was redesigned and renovated into 18 holes with 150 feet of elevation change. The 48-room hotel features double or king beds and king and two-bedroom suites. A new clubhouse and new restaurant, Sammy Ray's, have brought a new vibe to the resort.Facts

ON VACATION AT TOLEDO BEND AND FIRST TIME PLAYING THE COURSE SINCE CYPRESS BEND IS CLOSED. PLAYING SINGLE AND IT TOOK 8 HOLES BEFORE A FOURSOME ALLOWED ME TO PLAY THRU. CAUGHT UP TO A FIVESOME ON 15. THEY PLAYED SUPER SLOW INCLUDING LOOKING FOR GOLF BALLS WHICH WERE NOT THEIR OWN. NEVER ALLOWED ME TO PLAY THRU. BEVERAGE CART OPERATOR OFFERED ME A FREE CUP OF ICE ON THE 14TH HOLE AND IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE WITH THE HEAT. THE WATER FROM THE COOLERS WAS NOT COLD. THE GOLF CARTS WERE REALLY NICE WITH BUILT IN GPS, SCORECARD AND MUSIC ACCESS AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST CUSHIONED SEATS.
Great course.
If you enjoy playing a course with some elevation changes, trees and challenging greens then this is the course for you. It’s hard to find courses like this in Texas. The price was great. Staff very friendly and the resort serves great food. Will definitely be back.
Great course layout.
Had a good time playing this course. Really enjoyed the layout, they were doing alot of maintenance on the course while I was there and there were alot of temporary tee boxes because of this and the greens were not in the best of shape. Would love to go back when everything is back to normal and everything is in good shape. Also there was a couple slower groups ahead of me, I was playing by myself so I joined in with the two-some ahead of me to speed things up a bit. Overall enjoyed the course and would go back.
Beautiful course
Great course recently sanded greens and some temporary tee boxes.
Pride of East Texas
As good as it gets, all time favorite course with great prices for the caliber of course. Lay-out and terrain is top notch and the new management has really stepped up the maintenance. I hesitated to write this because I was ant to continue to be able to get the “Hot Deals” but high praise is well deserved with this amazing course!!!
Big pearl
Great course challenging, great lay out course is in great shape medium to fast greens friendly over all stall great golf carts with GPS. Highly recommend this course.
Nice course but Sand Traps suck
This is a nice course but the sand traps are horrible. No sand in the traps and little care on the improve the of them. If the traps where fixed the course would rate a lot higher.
JW Louisiana golfer.
Hidden Treasure
It's hard to believe a course of this caliber is hidden away in the piney woods of East Texas. It's nestled in beside Sam Rayburn lake, although you never see the lake from the golf course. Well worth the drive and you will be pleasantly surprised when you get there.
