Sonesta Bee Cave
About Sonesta Bee Cave
The Sonesta Bee Cave is located 20 minutes west off Austin off Highway 71 in the Hill Country Galleria, home to a collection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is no golf course onsite but there is shuttle service to the nearby Lakeway golf courses, including public Falconhead Golf Club, and the hotel does have some limited access to the private courses at the Clubs of Lakeway. The Sonesta Bee Cave features a large, outdoor courtyard pool, 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a 5,300 square foot ballroom. Lake Travis is minutes away where a marina can be accessed, and world-famous Hamilton Pool is also a short drive away. A highlight of the Sonesta Bee Cave is not only the galleria shops and restaurants but the hotel's own rooftop Meridian 98, which features cocktails and specialty plates in a lively setting that hosts live music.Facts

Falconhead
Spectacular day and the course was in great shape, highly recommend.
Was well worth the price
This is a must play course. One of the best courses in Austin
Great Layout and Conditions
Falconhead is definitely one of the courses you want to play in the Austin area. The layout and conditions on the course were excellent. The greens were smooth and relatively fast for Bermuda. You definitely need to watch out for the grain. My only nitpick is the gas golf carts and the clubhouse. The food selection for lunch was limited but well prepared. However, it was a bit pricey for the ambiance. Not a private club experience clubhouse wise but golfwise, it's well worth playing.
Falcon head GC-Best Value in Austin
Great layout. Excellent conditions. Very fast and true greens. Challenging from blue tees. Only the better players should play from hold and black tees or to will end up black and blue, with a smile.
Great Course
Great views of the Texas Hill Country. Course is in good shape, actually better than some of the local private courses in the area. Challenging but fair. Highly recommended.
Great Time
Course in excellent condition. Beautiful course. Good variety of left & right doglegs. Very enjoyable round. Played on Monday afternoon & was not busy, so finished in under 4 hours.
Cool Layout!
First time playing this course and I thought it was pretty cool. The elevation changes were awesome. Great design! Will definitely return to play the course again!
Good course
I was played last week too.
I think this course is very good
Good day at Falconhead
Other than traffic, the day was outstanding. Staff is always extremely friendly and accomadating. Course is in terrific shape, and it wasn't very crowded. Falconhead may be the best value in Austin given the tremendous course and low green fees.
This a nice challenging choose.
Definitely enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone who has not played it. A good layout, and nice greens.
I enjoyed the course
This is a nice course. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape. The bunkers were wet and water standing in some that is expected since it rained the night prior. I enjoyed the course it a challenge but fun for a novice like myself.
Great Course in the Hill Country
Great course. These guys host a golfnow league play during the spring and early summer. Lots of fun.
Falcon #5
The first couple of holes of this course are challenging - so you need to keep your head in the game.
To me, the hardest part of Falcon Head is the greens. However, I played with one of the marshals and a club regular. They provided some really good insights into reading the greens and the overall topography. It really helped me on this course and it will help my overall game too.
I've played here about 5 rounds now - and I'll be back again.
Falcon head--Fun Course
My son and I played while vacationing on Lake Travis. He is a beginner, (less than ten rounds played), and I do not recommend this course for those with 25+ handicap...he struggled. I enjoyed the course as it reminded me of the hilly courses in Huntsville. Played mid day, which was not as hot as I expected for August. Course played a bit slow for mid day on a Tuesday, but it was worth it.
Nice
Great time! Great course! Great people working there!
Didn't give food a 5 just because I didn't eat, so honestly can't rate it.
Very challenging course
Very challenging layout! Course seems longer than 6700+ from gold tees. Was in excellent condition . Greens still a little bumpy from recent sanding but should be perfect in a few days.
Number 2 (#1 handicap hole ) is still one of the most difficult holes in Austin area.
Overall excellent shape and pace of play was great.
Maybe a little overpriced for the heat of the summer.
Falconhead is always perfect
Played this course for years and I still love it every time. Always in good shape and challenging as well.
Gem of a course
Had a terrific time at time. 8th hole is beautiful club up don't let the yardage fool you elevated green. I came in from Houston as part of a 4 day getaway worth every penny.
Great Course
The course was a great value especially if you play twilight.
Very Well Kept !
I grew up building Golf Courses w/ my dad. I can tell you this is a great course! I enjoyed the layout. The greens were in great shape ! The ball checked up nicely. Its in great shape and being well mamanged by the super. I will be back!
