In addition to an 18-hole semi-private golf course originally designed by Arnold Palmer, the property features a marina and beach access on the lake. In addition to the more standard lakeside resort amenities like a marina and fishing, guests can also take part in horseback riding and even an Extreme Sandbox excursion that provides the opportunity to operate heavy construction machinery. Overall Great Course
I’ve played this course several time! Always fun to play and well taken care of. Pace of play was super slow today though with groups of 6 that didn’t let us play though. We actually ended up skipping ahead to only get caught up behind another group of 6. Not only were they groups of 6 but they took multiple tee shots after failing to hit it further than 20yrds. However, I highly recommend playing this course!
Layout was excellent.
The course was in great condition, nice layout too. I would recommend this course to anyone of my friends. Par 3’s are great , the par 4’s are somewhat long. I play from the blue tees!
6-6-7
Two groups of 6 on the front nine. A group of 7 on the back. The two groups behind us walked off due to the slow play. Have had good experiences here before; not today.
Very Hard Greens
The fairways were great. The greens were hard and didn’t hold many shots. This isn’t uncommon of all of the other courses in the area who are benefiting from lots of rain.
Great Course for the price.
Course conditions weren’t great but it had rained the day prior other than that would definitely recommend great course for the price.
Had fun
Almost like links style golf. Played in middle of January so fairways aren’t green...but the greens were in good condition and very fast. Beautiful bunkers. Well kept. Probably the windiest day of golf I’ve ever played but had fun. Would go back. Staff was great.
Great course
Fun course. Challenging but forgiving at times. Some of the best greens around north Texas.
Good value for the winter
Good value for the winter. Greens are dormant but playable.
Good time.
Great course to play. Greens were in great shape. Fairways were little hard for so much rain in the area.
Slow Play
Lots of local members out today and play was really slow.
Course in good shape
Course is in good shape but its very very hot this week.
Ok at best
Tanglewood used to have the best greens around but no more. They are yellow and covered with sand. Fairways are dry and starting to yellow. A few of the tee boxes are overgrown Bermuda grass.
Enorth texas trip
Staying at the resort and decided to play the course. Play by myself so round was complete let's in around 2 hours. Liked the course layout. Area has been dry and hot so condition was not great. Nice facilities and staff was very friendly. I would play again.
LOL, yeah don't play Tu or TH. The Senior MGA/LGA play from 09:00 - 10:00 and its as slow as a funeral processional. They usually run in a pack of 6-8 groups stacked solid. You can tell the Member Groups of five (they all have their own personal cart)..
