Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
About Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
Tapatio Springs is a modest-sized resort in the small Hill Country town of Boerne, located north of San Antonio. The 18-hole golf course, formerly 27 holes, underwent an extensive renovation and redesign project at the hands of Tripp Davis in 2015 to create an updated experience for golfers. Off-course amenities at this resort include a brand new clubhouse, home to the La Cascada Table & Bar, a social hub for the resort and local community. Owned by musician George Strait, the property features a singer-songwriter live music series on weekends.Facts

Reviews
Still nice
Have played this course several times. It is still in great shape and a fun, quite, place to play
Fast paced
Wow, I was blown away by the pace of play. I was playing with twosome and several foursome member groups blew by us. Great to finally play a course where people move along.
Great value and worth the drive. Played 27 holes in 5 hours.
Love this course but was disappointed the 3rd 9 hole course was closed.Had to replay Lake. Still had a great experience.
Great Hot Deal Value
Course was a great value with the GolfNow Hot Deal. Played on a steamy afternoon in about 3 hours as a single and didn't see anyone in front of me until the 8th. Fairways and tees showed a little heat stress, but were generally in very good condition. Greens were in good condition too, but had a few small burned out areas on some. The course is not hard to play without local knowledge. I can only recall one blind tee shot, but otherwise everything is right in front of you. The clubhouse is outstanding and the staff was very friendly. I read some reviews from people who got grief from other golf course staffs (not Tapatio Springs) for booking with GolfNow, but I was treated great and the staff was professional and helpful.
I would strongly recommend Tapatio Springs to any golfer, especially if you can get a value through GolfNow.
mr
only had 100 and 150 yd markers. flags all the same color no pin sheets are issued hard to figure distances.
Picturesque
This is a jewel of a course hidden in the Hill Country. Some challenging holes; but on the whole a very friendly "track". Staff is super friendly as well.
WHAT A CHANGE!
It's been over 6 years since I played here. They have done a fantastic job of bringing the place back to life. I might even make a weekend vacation and enjoy all the facilities. The staff is great willing to help in any way. The entire place had flags out for the 4th of July, nice touch.
Course is in the best shape I've seen in the last 5 years. A few oof the green had some minor fingus problems, but the areas were small, limited and I
Course is in the best shape I've seen in the last 5 years. A few oof the green had some minor fingus problems, but the areas were small, limited and I can only recall on 2 or 3 greens. Maybe I shouldn't have hit my ball in thsoe areas.
One of my favorite courses
I like 29.99$ deal, will be using it a lot this season
mostly moderate to hard. two holes are killers. excellent staff.
A little confusing for first timers like us to get around. Course is in good shape. Need exact irons on two or three holes. Bring extra balls! Greens in good shape, fairways too. Rough is typical South Texas, half thin and half dirt. Would play again. Great value.
Its nice however....
The first time I played there it was great, but since then its dried up some, The members there kind of just play holes. There was a guy there playing with his dog, he kept skipping around another couple did the same thing. The greens keepers were watering the greens in the middle of round had to wait on them on a couple of holes. Made my ball stay up though. It was a deal but if you go during the week be prepared for that. Paid $20 so not complaining it was cool.
Where's the water?
Course is very dry. You could see where water should be but wasn't. Greens were painted to cover the dryness. Had heard good things about Tapatio Springs but was not that impressed. Picture advertised does not resemble course now. This has the makings of being a picturesque course if water was in supply. Greens were a bit slick but you could see the sand on them underneath the paint. Probably wouldn't play there again unless water situation is corrected. Not overly difficult with course pretty much laid out in front of you. The Valley course was the more difficult of the two we played (also played Lake/River course?).
Loved the course. Make sure to have lunch are dinner there. Great place to hang out after your round.
Great place to play golf and have lunch or dinner. Course is in great shape and is fun to play. People are friendly. The course is owned by Gorge Strait the country singer. They also have a hotel that you can stay at and play golf all weekend. it's in the hill county and lots of wild life in the area.
Generally very open
I'm disappointed that they closed the Ridge 9 which was my favorite, but the course is in very good shape. It is short and fairly easy as few wayward tee shots are punished. The drive to the course is a pleasant one through the hill country, though, and the course is interesting enough and makes one feel good about his or her game.
Tapatio is in great shape!
My wife & I played 18 in just over 3 hours. The course was in fantastic shape. We enjoyed the beautiful course & scenery, and really got a great value at $34 per person. WE WILL BE BACK!
The course is fantastic shape!
Took a few friends out to Tapatio because I had heard about the renovation. We weren't disappointed about anything! Other than the mediocre range, this place is top notch. The greens were in great shape, and the clubhouse has a great restaurant and locker room. We will definitely be going back soon!
Great Course, don't grab something to eat at the turn.
On the turn wanted to grab a quick sandwich. The lady was not very helpful. It took 25 minutes to get the sandwich, would of liked to have know that before ordering and paying. Created a back up on course, because we were not the only ones that stopped at the turn to grab a sandwich. They should have sandwiches ready for a quick grab.
Great course
Been a long time since I had great time and best of all in a beautiful course from tee to green
great layout
course in great shape. greens recently verticut and were a little rough and slow. would like to play again in a couple of weeks. sure they will be great by then.
A Hidden Treasure !
Played this course for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. Started off a little confused as the range area had no golf balls and the staff was under-maned. However once play began it was an Awesome design. Small greens with ample fairways. Great scenery from the back tees. It's not long so play from the back tees and enjoy the full course. Beautiful. Tucked away in the hillside. What a Gem. Highly recommend!! Book on GolfNow.com and get a Great Deal.
