Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
About Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
Tapatio Springs is a modest-sized resort in the small Hill Country town of Boerne, located north of San Antonio. The 18-hole golf course, formerly 27 holes, underwent an extensive renovation and redesign project at the hands of Tripp Davis in 2015 to create an updated experience for golfers. Off-course amenities at this resort include a brand new clubhouse, home to the La Cascada Table & Bar, a social hub for the resort and local community. Owned by musician George Strait, the property features a singer-songwriter live music series on weekends.Facts

Kind of off the grid, but well worth the drive!
I almost regret writing this review, because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who knows about this course and I like it that way. It's about a 40 minute drive for me but I make it every chance I get. The people there are all super friendly, and it always seems like you're practically the only one out there on the course. They have 3 sets of 9, which probably helps. "The Ridge" is one of the coolest sets of 9 holes I've ever played, but it's also hands down the most challenging. All really narrow fairways and humongous elevation changes on every hole will always keep you guessing. That 9 could be in better shape but the others "lakes" and "valley" are both in pretty solid shape. Overall I'd give it like a 9 out of 10.
Wow!, the new owners have really done a nice job remodeling the proshop, lockeroom and dining facilities.
This course used to be San Antonio's most beautiful. With the help of new owners and management it's on it's way to becoming an even nicer course. The clubhouse and dining facilities are superb. The valley and lakes course are in great shape and very close to surpassing it's former glory. Once the ridge course greens have fully matured and completely filled in, you'll have a tough time getting a tee time. Kudos to the ownership, they have really turned this place around!
The course was in great shape and greens were awesome. Staff was excellent. Great value.

Course was well kept, great all around, great value!
Course was very challenging but dynamic enough in terrain where you never got bored. Did have some wasps that weren't too friendly on hole #2 by the green, but outside of that, this course is outstanding. I will play again!
Great setting in the Hill of San Antonio
Very friendly and many extra amenities at no extra cost. Staff very helpfull. Very challenging for the average player but still fun to play.
Tapitio is Back
The new owners and management have brought this course back to its original status. Both the greens and fairways are in terrific shape and the staff knows what they are doing. Beautiful views, elevation changes, and water make this course worth the short drive to Boerne, Tx.
This course has several blind shots
I enjoyed the course, challenging because of the blind shots next time should play easier. Still having some water issues, but will play again soon.
Decent Course
This was the first time I've played this course so I have no idea how much improvement has been made since George Strait became part owner of this course. The course offers a nice challenge to all golfers. If the course continues to make more cosmetic improvements to the course, I think it's safe to assume the course will one day be very popular.
