Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
About Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
Tapatio Springs is a modest-sized resort in the small Hill Country town of Boerne, located north of San Antonio. The 18-hole golf course, formerly 27 holes, underwent an extensive renovation and redesign project at the hands of Tripp Davis in 2015 to create an updated experience for golfers. Off-course amenities at this resort include a brand new clubhouse, home to the La Cascada Table & Bar, a social hub for the resort and local community. Owned by musician George Strait, the property features a singer-songwriter live music series on weekends.Facts

One of the top courses in San Antonio. The fairway, greens, and tee boxes are in excellent condition. I could play this course every weekend!
Fast greens, great fairways
Water levels were down from when I last played in the spring, so not quite as scenic. Course was in great shape especially the fairways. Very fast greens with some brutal pin positions. Rough was thick so try to avoid it. Only negative is that there is very little water on the courses and we only saw the cart girl on hole 1. Fill up with drinks at the start or at the turn! Lots of wildlife.
Course was beautiful as always!
This is one of our top favorite courses in SA area, my husband and I hadn't played it in awhile, so we were looking forward to it. We checked in pro shop, and two very helpful employees, male and female, got us all checked in, told us to grab a cart and let "Santiago" in the yellow shirt know when we were ready. We got a cart, went to car to get bags, warmed up for 5 minutes, and at our tee time went to find Santiago. Well, we found him, amd he was very rude. We told him our name amd time, and he asked us if we checked in. We said yes, and he told us "Well I was just in there and you hadn't checked in." We explained our process amd how we spoke with "Raheem?"( I think that was his name). Santiago told us to hurry and to play with two others were up at hole 1. We easily joined in and enjoyed the rest of the day. Definitely miss more water in the springs, but course was in excellent shape. So, other than the experience with Santiago, we enjoyed it 100%. Love the GPS in cart as always!!
Nice course!
Great course, nice layout, friendly staff. We had a great time, not overly difficult. We would've liked to see the course with water in the ponds.
Beautiful views on the course.
Really enjoyed myself. Love what they did to the course with the remodel of 2015. I will be back.
WOW
This course is my favorite in the Hill Country. It is in such awesome shape. Can't wait to go back. The fairways were so nice I hated to take a divot. The greens were perfect and fast. Go play a round and you will be hooked as well.
Slooooowww Round
Took 5.5 hours to play on a Sunday afternoon. There was a tournament starting right before us. Clubhouse didn't offer to get us out before the tournament, didn't even give us a heads-up that there was a tournament. The tournament players were super slow. Never saw a marshall.
This is a really good course with great amenities, but they don't seem to care about the on-course experience.
Nice Course
Enjoyed the course. Scenery was nice, amenities were good. Drinks a little pricey. Overall a good experience if you want to get out from San Antonio.
Course condition
I spite of the heat and drought conditions the court was in excellent condition. I believe this contributed to the excellent pace of play. Great value.
Sunday Funday
Course is quickly becoming one of the best options in the SA area. Course is in great shape. Greens are firm and fast, which gives the course the teeth it needs since its relatively short.
Tapatio Springs - Good day
A nice course with great surroundings and scenery. Overall, a playable and fair course (a couple of "gimmick" holes). Hope to go again soon.

Tapatio Resort Golf Course was an excellent experience for Father's Days & 4th of July weekends. I'm from San Antonio Tx. not too far from Boerne Tx. a 30 to 40 minute drive. But, the temperature was about 8 to 10 degrees difference. The course was in excellent condition and very challenging. The weather was great and club house / restaurant provide excellent service and Food & Beverages, not to forget about the scenery & ambience. The website pictures are very true to form and give this magnificent place & resort a true representation of its appearance. I already thinking of going back. I've also mention it to the Golf Association, of which I'm a member of. we will certainly put it on our Golf list for next year. we are about 170 golfers and we can get a great price to play.
Thank you,

A veritable Gem in the Hill Country
Tapatío Springs Golf Course is a treasure of the Texas Hill Country. Located a short drive from San Antonio, this course treats players with Texas hospitality and friendliness. The course is challenging but fair for all levels of ability. The terrain changes and water add an interesting twist to your shot selection. I look forward to having friends visit from out of state to show off this venue of "Texas Golf".
Top-Tier
I've played this course about 10 times & it never gets old. The scenery, the GPS system in the carts, & the course conditions are absoutely exquisite. I try & play this course once a week of possible, this is definitely my favorite course in San Antonio. Hats off to The King of Country himself & all the other contributors.
Great Course
This was my first time playing Tapatio Springs and I must say I will be back very soon. It is about an hour drive for me but I have no problem driving for the price and the condition of the course. The tips will prove to be challenging for first timers and the fairways are in great condition. Greens are in great shape as well and roll true/fast. They have an excellent club house with what smelt like great food. Would make a great staycation for anyone looking for a weekend getaway.
