great course
This is a great course, always in a good condition. if you don't get stock behind old folks you can finish in no time. I highly recomand this course if you are in the area
Great Day at Bryce!
It was a pleasure to play at Bryce Resort where the fairways and greens were in great condition. It was a wonderful fall day. Some narrow fairways along with some elevated tee boxes/greens add challenges for even the best players. Directional signs guiding you to the back 9 needs improvement sense the course layout splits front and back 9 where the pro shop, restaurant and parking lot sit in the middle.
Awesome staff and course
Pro shop, cart staff and rest of Bryce Resort staff very friendly and professionals. The course is amazing! They keep lawn and landscape maintenance everyday. Very impressed! Definitely will go back and play more golfing.
Sorry not worth the drive!
All the greens were IA, but that was not the problem. Several greens had several large bare spots. The fairway, bunkers and tees were very good. Not worth the drive unless you are local.
Golf while on vacation
We really enjoyed golfing in the valley in the mountains. This course was in good shape and we had great weather.
Enjoyment
The golf course is located in a beautiful valley with deer standing around streams running through out the course and picturesque views. The course was in excellent shape tee boxes, fairways and greens. I enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone who has a chance to play their.
Great day of Fall golf
Put this course on your play list when in the area. This is a nice layout but not to hilly for a mountain course. The conditions were excellent and we had the course almost to our self as it had just stopped raining. The Fall colours were beautiful. Bit of a hike to the driving range so get there well before your tee time if you want to warm up. Would rate it 4.5 overall.
Under utilized
We have been coming here for 7 years and always are amazed at the conditions of the course. At full price it's a deal using golfnow.com you can't go wrong. The staff is friendly the bar is comfortable for a drink after. your round.
Wow
Deep in the woods of Virginia lies this course. The course is in amazing shape, almost pristine. Amazing course for the price.
Course in great shape.
The course is in excellent shape, even the bunkers, which seems to be a challenge for most courses around here.
Nice Course
The golf course was nice and not very difficult. Actually it was pretty flat for a course in the mountains. I'm not sure when the place was built but some of the facility's were a bit "tired" I guess you would say. Out along the course I think they were probably timeshare units that appeared to be almost ready to fall apart. Not a very good impression of the resort. Thankfully the golf course, which is why we were there, was in good shape and very playable. I would definitely recommend the golf as an excellent value. I would be leery of staying there with a timeshare cono.
Beautiful facility
My wife and I played Bryce on a Thursday morning. Course was pretty quiet so we breezed through our round. I loved the layout and the course was in great shape. Would definitely recommend the course
Great Golf Course
The condition of this course is always excellent. It has touch rough, so you must stay in fairway. I have a friend with a vacation house there and I try to play there at least once when I am there. The first hole is long and intimidating (#1 handicap), but after that you'll love it.
Great course conditions
Course was in great shape, greens are rolling super smooth, no pace of play issues
Also like the looks of the new tee markers this year
Thanks Bryce resort for giving me a great Sunday in the short grass!!!!!!!
Very Nice Course
Very nice course with plenty of sand and water. Course was in great shape. Large greens protected by sand and high and low elevations. Well maintained course and friendly staff to include grounds crew. Only concern is the greens were a bit hard (bite). Played in the afternoon and finished in less than 3 hours, no waiting on any holes.
Very enjoyable
My wife and I played here for the first time and had a very enjoyable experience.
Very Playable Course
This course is a bit of a hidden gem. For early in the season I thought the fairways and greens were in nice shape. Still some greening up to do but overall the course was very playable especially considering the area probably got an inch plus of rain a couple days before we played. Three or four holes were cart path only but fairways weren't soggy. The greens were a little slower than the course we played the day before but rolled pretty true. Many of the holes are pretty forgiving off the tee with the exception of 10 and 17 which are tighter.
If your balls love water then this course loves your balls.
The water features in the course increases the challenges. I usually use older balls especially the front nine due to the creek that runs through most fairways. I played this course several times this year and have enjoyed each time.
Easy course tough greens
See above title in response. Easy course tough greens.
