Staff was rude
Woman in pro shop who checked us in was just plain rude. Expected better treatment after paying $252 for a round of golf. Have been playing here yearly since early 80's. Very disappointing. Suggest they get someone else to interface with customers.
over booked
The course is in really great condition, played the first 9 holes with some waiting. Saw 1 group of 5 several holes in from of us and from that point on, long 5 minute waits on tee boxes getting to know the from in front and behind me. No starter, No ranger, and Way over booked. By the time we made it to the 10th tee box, there were 3 groups, 1 teeing off and 2 groups waiting. Oh yeah, another group of 5 showed up. We left because at that point we were looking at another 3 hours without a doubt. Won't be back!
Best course in the area!!
My friend and I played here for the first time yesterday and were absolutely blown away. Being locals we always went to either shenvalee in New Market or some of the other courses in harrisonburg, and after playing here I don't think I'll go back to them ever again. The greens had just been aerated but you could tell they were excellent quality, sand in bunkers was high quality and not like hitting out of concrete. Tee boxes were in excellent shape as well which is a big thing for me. Front 9 is more open and is definitely a bit easier than the back 9, fairways narrow a little bit on the back and some interesting hole designs add more of a challenge. Overall this is 100% the best course in the area and I promise you won't be able to beat the price! Will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone I can!
Aeration surprise
Beautiful course. Valley layout. Front nine closed so played back 9 twice. Not ideal but… Cold morning too so very little traffic.
Great Course
First time playing it. Some challenging holes. Overall a great course that won’t eat u alive
Awesome
Amazing scenery and great course with fast challenging greens.
Beautiful fun course
Off season at Bryce for golf. Proshop closed so had to take trip to ski shop to get keys for cart. Cannot rate staff because there were none. However, course layout and conditions were excellent. Beautiful scenery! A hidden gem.
Great course
This is a great course. The layout is challenging but not too difficult, Greens are fast and true. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Airated greens no notification
Fabulous course. Would have gotten 5 stars except that the greens were airated with no alert and still charged full price.
Great course but…..
I heard great things about this course and was excited to play. Got to the putting green and it’s airated. Thinking I hope all the greens aren’t airated but they were. It would have been nice to have known ahead of time and not to have to pay full price. Other than the greens great course.
Great People, Course, and Time!
Super fun course in great shape with smooth rolling Greens. No hole is alike.... Each has its own personality. It's nice to be able to bomb driver here on lots of holes and maybe hit fairway wood on a few others. I come down once a year at the beginning of August to visit family and play golf with them and we have a great time every year. The way golf was meant to be played!
Highly recommend!!
