Excellent and challenging

My game would have been better and should have enjoyed the game more except for the weather. As you all know, its always raining in washington. Still the course was in playing condition. I would have appreciate it better if We played in sunny conditions. It's also a little bit pricey but well worth it.

Great course

Great course, tight in some spots, open in others. Greens were really fast and quite good....all in all a really good course, worth the drive from Seattle for sure.

Beautiful course, not crowded at all, with an excellent food facility attached. Don't let the golf rate scare you.

Just OK

Prior to playing I called to ask a question. The recording stated the following; "If you need to speak to the proshop leave your name and phone number and we'll call you". SERIOUSLY? This was mid-week mid afternoon. I went to the website and sent email to pro shop asking if there is a "rider fee" as I didn't find this info on their site. This email was sent 7 days prior to playing and I never received a reply.

Upon checking in the day of play I was told the rider fee of $22 was due. The issue is not the $ but lack response to email and the lame method they have of not taking a call directly.

The golf experience was very nice for the green fees I paid. I would never pay full price to play here as they really do not have it together for what is generally considered a top 10 resort course.

Great course!

This course has a very friendly staff and is in a beautiful location. The course itself has breathtaking views and is in amazing shape. Very challenging for golfers of all skill levels, but many tee selections make it fun for everyone. If you are serious about playing golf and appreciate great greens this is the place to go. I will be back here many times.

Salish Cliffs

Great golf course, excellent condition!
Course was still wet from spring rains and got minus 3 inches of roll on the drives so it played long.
Had a very relaxing 3 hour round, playing through one threesome and never saw another group and this was on a Sunday afternoon.
A must play!

great layout

play a lot of different courses and this by far is the most manicured course in Washington. layout was scenic and fair but extremely challenging. would definitely come back this summer and play it again. the 1.5 hour drive from seattle is worth it...

Reason why it's a top course in Washington

Salish has become my favorite course to play in Western Washington.
From the second you arrive you're treated like a King. The course is in excellent condition and the greens role fast and true.
You need to be a straight hitter here. Your ball will get swallowed up by the high rough on both sides of almost all holes.
Do yourself a favor and put Salish on your list for Must Play... you will not be disappointed!

Truly enjoy this course. Very well thought out. 2 well placed shot will leave you with eagle opportunity on 18.

Challenging course in a peaceful setting

First time playing here...better than average golf outing. Course conditions were very good considering the record rainfall earlier in March. Greens were exceptional for this time of year and rolled true. The beautiful surroundings enhance the overall experience. Some fairways have decent width- some, not so much. Keep it in play and you'll do ok. Some holes go directly from fairway to OB- not a lot of rough to play with if your drive is off-line. "Players" tees are at 6,300+ yds, but manageable. Even at that distance, the slope rating is 128, so bring your A game. Some elevation changes make it interesting too. Course probably would have played easier if there was some roll out off the tees.
The course location is not well marked- keep your eyes open as you approach the casino area or you'll miss it.

The course should have been shkut down.

Due to extreme rain I feel the course should have been shut down because of way too much standing water throughout the course. They could have given me a rain check and asked that I return when conditions are MUCH drier. Every shot that hit the fairway plugged. Had problems finding ball.

Salish Cliffs: Picture perfect and salmon safe

The Little Creek Casino Resort, owned by the Squaxin Island Tribe, opened this Gene Bates design in fall 2011 in the Kamilche Valley, showcasing a dramatic rolling site with 600 feet of elevation change. The collection of par 4s might be the best in the state, climaxing at the 16th hole, which starts at an elevated tee and wraps around a virtual desert of bunkers.
The course tends to play long due to swirling winds, slightly uphill holes and during wet months when there's little roll.
Massive evergreens make Salish Cliffs a peaceful round in a pristine environment that has been deemed "Salmon Safe". It's not quite 'Chambers Bay' good, but it's still one of the premier playgrounds in the Pacific Northwest.

Fair

It was very wet 'cause of a heavy rain or what.
we couldn't drive carts on the fairway meant a long way walk to the ball. They should have a heavy duty pull cart ready.
In the winter, it's not worth to pay so much money.
It needs a few years to be a good course.
The course lay out is pretty good. I might try again on one of the dry days. that will give me a better comment.

Good news!!! We've put in over 2 miles of additional drainage and we cannot wait to see how the course drains this fall and winter. We to see you again soon!

Great for this time of year!

The course offers a real challenge for those that want to play from the tips, and also for the average golfer. Golf cart GPS (required) are top notch. Course was being aerated and sprayed on a few holes that was a little distracting, but the course is draining beautifully. Got a HOT DEAL from Golf Now @ $37. Definitely a great deal! Salish Cliffs is a must play for NW Golfers.

Best Course in the area

I have played Salish several times. In the summer it is in excellent condition, flawless. I've also played it in early spring and late fall, the course was being plugged, but still very playable. The clubhouse and restaurant staff is very friendly, and the food is very good. I would play Salish every chance I get!

Better during the summer???

This course should be very nice when they haven't sanded every fairway and green. Word to the wise, I should have asked but with my Golf now discount, we didn't feel too bad about the round. If I would have paid full price....not too sure about that feeling. Would rather play it during the summer but still look for the golf now discount.....a little pricey but nice.
