Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
About Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Located a short ferry ride from Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula, the Clearwater Casino Resort, owned by the Suquamish Tribe, is more than just a waterfront casino. It has the amenities for a wedding, work conference, golf getaway or a relaxing vacation. The 183-room resort features a spa, six restaurants, four bars, an event lawn, indoor zero-entry pool, beach access and the excitement of casino nightlife that offers table games, slots, keno and much more. The tribe purchased the White Horse Golf Course, located 11 miles away in Kingston, in 2010 and made immediate improvements. A new clubhouse was added and local architect John Harbottle brought in to make the course more playable.Facts

White Horse getting better
Overall Course getting better. The most disappointing thing is the pace of play. Horrendous! On weekends. Good golf day ruined by pace of play. Too many playing wrong tees. Looking for their golf balls in junk. Tough course that should not be played by those who cannot keep it play. Otherwise...I 'd play more if course asst keep the pace of play to 4-4.5 hrs.
Great, challenging course, enjoy playing this course.
Have not tried the food here yet, but I will! Even a bad day of golf here is made better by the scenery.
A must play -
This is a fantstic course - a must play when you are up on the peninsula.
NICE COURSE!
Immaculate greens, friendly staff, driving range off of grass, not mats. Challenging course, fast greens. Loved it. One of my favorite courses in the Seattle area.
Absolutely fabulous
First rate all the way. You're going to need your A game. Beautiful scenery, nice facilities.
Perfect day, great experience
Like wine, White Horse has improved with age. I golfed on White Horse the first year and the course was extremely challenging and in terrible condition: brick hard greens and fairways, punitive layout. Now, though, the course is in excellent condition! Landing your drive on the fairway means you're in great position for par or birdie. Greens are great. The course is challenging and playable. I'll be back.
I prefer to ride on this course. There are some transitions from one hole to the next on the front 9 that are LONG - a quarter of a mile or more it seems.
Prepare to lose some golf balls...
Overall, the course was in really good shape. Well taken care of greens and fairways. Have several tee boxes to choose and play from. Pretty long course. Most of the fairways are surrounded by forest, so if you hit a ball in the trees, just forget about finding it. Couple narrow fairways as well. If walking, you're easily playing 5-6 hour round if course is busy.
One of the best courses in the state.
Whitehorse is one of my favorite courses, it's definitely worth the special trip. The new clubhouse is very nice and makes for a nice picture on the tee box at 18.
Wonderful upgrades
Hadn't played this course in years. Was impressed with the improvement in almost all aspects of the course, including the new club house.
Very Difficult
Numerous amateur first time golfers on the course. They should have been on the range learning how to golf. The pace of play was atrocious! We quit after 4 1/2 hrs on number 15 hole. NOT a golf course for beginning golfers. Will never go back again.!!
If you like challenging courses
White Horse golf course club in Kingston is a fun course to play if you like to play challenging golf courses. I drains well after rains and has a wonderful practice area. A good wedge game is a plus because pins can be hidden behind traps and plateaus on large greens. Hit good shots and have a lot of fun, hit bad one and pay the price.
Very good course
Good green scenery and place of fun game for golfer.
Keep it secret
Worth coming too from anywhere in Seattle area
New favorite course
Very good drainage when wet
Always great shape
Bad Weather/Great Time
First time at White Horse. Was very pleased with the course. If you usually play the "white tees", play the "Blues". I can tell the greens will be fast come the dryer season (Remind me of Gold Mtn. Olympic ). More rolls than a bakery on a lot of the holes so positioning is key. I will definitely be back.
Northwest Gem
I play this course often and it is always in great shape. The Suquamish Tribe took ownership of the facility a few years ago and greatly improved it from its previous condition. The clubhouse/pro shop is beautiful and the practice range is great!
Only complaint from my round yesterday is that the bar closed at 4:00. It was a beautiful February day and the course was pretty full. We finished right at 4:00 and were looking forward to a drink and snacks on the deck but no such luck! We were not the only ones disappointed.
Excellant
Course was in great shape. Greens were firm even though it was raining. Best deal in kitsap
Golf on a winter day
In spite of the recent snow and heavy rains the course was in excellent shape. There were no temporary greens and the fairways as always drain very well. The staff in the pro shop were very friendly and welcoming. Contrary to the weather forecast the sun presented itself and it was an excellent day.
Good course
Whitehorse is one of the best courses around. Very challenging, well designed. Tough course actually. Drains well, which is pretty important during the wet winter months.
excellent greens
Great drainage, the best place for winter golf in the state. Greens are firm and fast for February.
Christmas Eve Golf
Course almost to ourselves on Christmas Eve. Weather was exceptional for December. Very Challenging, but fun.
