Nestled on the shores of the Puget Sound, Port Ludlow is home to residential neighborhoods, a 37-room boutique waterfront inn, a 300-slip marina and golf course. The Inn’s award-winning Fireside restaurant offers sweeping views of Port Ludlow Bay. Adventure lovers can take a kayak or a stand-up paddle board out in the bay and explore the twin islands, hike or bike 26 miles of maintained trails or go fishing for trout or salmon or crabbing. Robert Muir Graves designed the 6,861-yard course, one of 10 in the state of Washington that is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Love this course! Challenging but fun layout. Greens are super nice. Fairways are in great shape too. Great course for the money.

Poor Conditions, slow pace
For 75 dollars to play. The course is in horrible shape. Thick clumps of cut grass everywhere. Cut clumps grass all over greens from people shoes. Feels like we were playing in the winter. But paying summer price. The pace of play was the worst I have seen. 5 different groups on one hole. Found out there was 20 people playing 4 person scramble in front of us. Should have been told before playing or had a Marshall out there to keep the pace of play moving. The gps in the golf cart kept telling us to speed up.
After the 6 hours to play . I spoke with a guy in the club house and he seemed to really not care.
Great layout, course needs attention
Showed up about an hour and 30 minutes early for my tee time to practice beforehand. Upon completing my practice, asked if the tee sheet was booked and if there was any way I could get out early about an hour before my time slot. I noticed it was quite slow at the time. Shop staff said it was booked, so I waited, and watched the tee box. In 45 minutes of waiting, only 2 groups left the first tee. I was a single, and there was more than ample time to let me go out, and could’ve paired up with the twosome or single that teed off before me. Once I teed off, I caught up to the single ahead of me. Shop staff was not impressive. It seemed to be an inconvenience for me to simply ask for range tokens.
Great Round with Friends
We always include Port Ludlow as one of the courses we need lay in our annual trip to the peninsula.
