Love the layout this place was excellent
I would recommend this place for everyone. I do plan on coming back. I’m from Colorado and I’ve enjoyed golfing there. I golfed in Colorado Arizona and this is one of the nicest courses I’ve come across. Thank you.
Great golf course!
I’ve played out at Port Ludlow many times and it’s the most challenging course around. You better bring lots of balls if you are a mid to high handicap. There were no concessions and nothing posted. (Looked like it is in the process of a remodel) There was a refrigerator in the pro shop with a few drinks available for purchase but no food.
The course was in great shape but we were confined to “cart path only”. We both felt it should have been 90 degree rule for sure. Overall a fantastic round of golf and very enjoyable. Just a lot of walking!! $44 for cart…
Friendly & Fun
I asked if there might be an earlier tee time upon Checkin…was told not really. As it turned out several players from an earlier tee time did not show and got to play with Terry, Dick & Nick…who were all great ball strikers and collegial. Never waited to hit a shot the whole round!
A magnificent lay out
I recently moved to the area and wanted to check out the local golf courses and this one did not disappoint! It was really windy that day but I managed to walk all 18 holes with only a few other golfers around and the course was in great shape and the greens were pretty firm and rolled very well given the amount of rain we had the day before. A couple of low spots in the fairway had some standing water but I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the scenery. One negative comment is the lack of yardage markers - I could not find a single one which was quite odd- not on the sprinkler heads nor in the fairway or cart path. I hope the course will get more attention because it really is a beautiful Pacific Northwest gem!!
Port Ludlow
Course is very saturated with water right now. If you get any air on the ball it’s hit and stick. It’s just that time of year. The restaurant was closed so no turn food or drink.
Beautiful day’
A beautiful day to play golf in December. The greens were tough to negotiate, but the course is in great condition A+ for this time of year.
Worth the Ferry
Loved the track! Tee books were recently aerated and sanded with a bit tooooo much on a couple of holes. The fairways and greens were in pretty good shape.
Great Day
Great day abd value using deal time and my Golf Pass points.
Hidden Jewel of a golf course
The well maintained golf course was a joy to play in. If I am ever in the area again. I will make tee time on my Golf Now app. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The whole course was in great summer shape. The course is short even at the blue tees. It makes up for the length by dog leg fairways, and hidden creeks. You have to play this course a few times. To know how to maneuver around the course better.
Great course
Very nice course layout. Only one green was not in top shape. The fairways were excellent and the weather was perfect.
Beautiful Course
It's been years since we played Port Ludlow and it did not disappoint. Beautiful course and setting, well maintained, hardly any brown spots which after this summer is unusual. The gals in the pro shop were nice but did not really explain things well (asked if we wanted to hit balls but didn't let me know I had to buy a token). The people in the restaurant were very friendly. Good pace of play and just a lovely day. We will make the 1-1/2 hour trip again.
Its not just the time of year, we played last July 2023 and the course was flooded! I don't know whos managing the course maintenance but it was ridiculously wet with pooled water on the greens.
Muddy areas most holes.
