Course in fantastic condition for early in season
Highly recommend playing here
Beautiful course
Course was beautiful and we really enjoyed playing there. We definitely had a lot of slower paced players in front of us, which is ok by us, but others might not appreciate. The only thing that really bothered me was their lack of drinks. The snack bar wasn't open yet this season and the cooler only had water or some IPA beers. I will play there again, but be prepared with drinks.
Family retreat
The course is beautiful. My father in laws and soon to be brother in law have a hard time keeping standard pace of play. Besides that the course plays well. The greens are difficult. I will be back.
Working On It
With springtime golf you don’t know what you might get. The greens were really slow and bumpy! Many of the bunkers had very little sand, but there were other with nice white sand, so maybe these are being upgraded. There many maintenance personnel working on the course, so the course may play differently in a few more weeks.
Rolling mountains
Beautiful course tucked into the rolling foothills of the Appalachian mountain range. The first tee is a jaw dropping porthole into the exciting greens and fairways to come. The front nine is a delightful adventure down to the bottom of valley. Filled to the brim with challenging bunkers and pristine greens. The back nine is equally as captivating as you start your way up the mountain with what could only be described as terraced fairways surrounded by nature. Only to be lead back down to the peaceful valley with a tremendous par 3 which seems to be played from the top of the mountain. The adventure culminates with a long stretch par 5 which allows for the use of one of each club in your bag and allows you to take in the majesty of the mountains one last time.
Hidden Gem
Wow, I played on a warm (but windy) Nov day, and was highly impressed by this course. Conditions were amazing. And the course has some nice challenges (fairways that roll left or right, elevation changes just to name a few).
Greens were receptive, but fast. They also rolled accurate and consistent.
The course is out there a ways, but worth the drive if you ask me. I can't wait to go play again in season and see how it is.
Overbooked
I drove an hour and a half to play here. Booked the round on GolfNow days in advance. I show up and the starter doesn’t even have me on the tee sheet. He was originally gonna send me out after another solo, which made zero sense. So I paired up w the other single and it was pretty clear from the pac dog play that they overbooked. 5 and a half hour round and I was on top of the people in front of me. Beautiful course but hard to play good golf when you’re sitting there waiting on every single hole.
It is a beautiful layout in a unique setting.
All the greens had not recovered from aeration but he biggest problem is nearly all sand traps lack sand. The sand is heavily peppered with gravel and stones. One trap contained a lot of mud.
October Golf
Everything was very enjoyable except for pace. Please use marshals to move people along. Very hard to be in back of two novice golfers who spend 10 minutes looking for lost balls on most every hole
Great day golfing except a lot of slow play in front of me including a single. There is no excuse for a single player holding anyone up. Course was in great shape except for all the leaves but this time of year that is common. Staff is always friendly.
Awesome course. Wonderful shape. Would play it again in a heartbeat. Too bad I live 4 hours away.
