The Lakeview Golf Resort can be something for everyone: a golf resort, a wedding venue, a vacation destination or more. As part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, the resort offers two courses with views of Cheat Lake and the Allegheny Mountains, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools and dining. Accommodations range from rooms to suites. Ok
Course was in ok shape. Some greens needed work. Had not played Lakeview in two years and was expecting better conditions. Staff was great.

Course is good. Pace was slow on back 9 today, but that is rare on this course. Some greens need some more care.

Where’s the Marshals?
Course could be a good to great bargain if managed properly. Very slow pace of play due to failure to follow proper golf etiquette. If you have to wait 5 minutes for every shot and you get hit onto several times, than a Marshall is needed.
Quit after nine because of the pace of play and potential for bodily harm from the group behind us.

Better on the second date
The course is a great course at the price paid on GolfNow. This is a course that is played better the second round. A few holes are blind shots, so knowing the course helps. The greens need just a little help (some dry spots). I will be back to play, plus my playing partner will bring his friends too.

SLOW SLOW. SLOW
OMG. Had to wait on every hole.starting with the 2nd. Took 3 hours to play front 9. Finally at 4 hours and on hole 14 I gave up. Tried to skip a par5 15th to jump the delay and fou.d it was 2-3 groups on every hole through the 17th.
If you want an enjoyable golf outing, so not bother here.
Great course
Great course for your every day golfer. Course condition was really good and pin placement was fair, no crazy layouts. Would highly recommend playing this course at least once.

Grass needs cut!!
Ok layout...rough was completely crazy!! No rain this week and rough was so terrible!! Even the areas that was cut had old grass trimmings in it!! Found 10 balls just walking alongside fairway. Greens not bad but worst possible pin placements...all on hills!! Beautiful Friday afternoon and only half dozen cars...now I know why!!!!
Rough super long with dead grass on top slowed play to hault after 5.5 hrs left on 16

The course was overall in the best shape I have seen it in for a little. A few tee boxes need some love and whole 16 we in really bad shape. It was nice that the rough was cut down (I played Mountainview the week prior and it was awful). Playing as a single I got stuck behind some slower groups that didn't let me play through which was annoying but totally understand as that happens with a single. The reason it just isn't a 5 star is just that its a great course, just not a 5 star course, nothing bad, I'll always play it and for the price I'll always be back!

I’ve played Lakeview, numerous times over the past years and never know what I will find. This was first time for 2021 and the fairways were great, the greens were fast, but the cart paths bordered on nearly undriveable and the bunkers sucked. The “Staff”, who appeared to be comprised of WVU students, seemed to be more focused on their cell phones than their guests. I’m sure Governor Justice wouldn’t approve of them acting like I was inconveniencing them with my questions of them!
We encourage you to bring up these type of issues to our golf course management while on property so that we can address your concerns and discuss the details of your experience.
