Lakeview Golf Resort - Mountainview Course

Course is decent and fun to play. Some holes are very nice and greens are good just the price got raised and it does not seem worth it for 40-50 bucks. More like 25 bucks.

Much to my surprise Mountainview course at Lakeview was in good condition for mid October. Greens were in really good shape and rolling well, though they are somewhat slow. A couple bunkers don’t drain well, and a few tee boxes are beaten up. But new carts this year with GPS are helpful though serious work is still necessary on the cart paths.

Play the course on Monday . Staff was great, but the course wasn’t in the greatest condition bad places in the fairways and especially on the greens. The layout of the course is very different and nice. Not really any off course amenities.

We had a group of 20 for the weekend and played Mountainview Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (Lakeview Saturday afternoon and Sunday). After seeing the reviews of Mountainview we expected the horrible conditions people described. First, you must consider this is the resort's secondary course and not the main resort course so it's not going to be in country club shape. The tees were a bit shaggy due to recent reseeding/regrowing but were not bare. There were no bare fairways, some sparse areas and some crab grass areas but playable. Most of the greens were in very good shape and rolled nicely with a few bare areas on some of them. The worst part about the course was the cart paths which really need addressing. The people were very nice. Overall for being a secondary course - pretty much like most public courses - there are areas that need addressed but was fine for our group to play. If you want perfect conditions join a country club.

This course is the worst condition of any course I have ever played not worth a dollar to play it is in terrible condition

Looked a bit better last year but it's terrible again.

Grass is long, dead grass clippings everywhere, craters in everyone of the greens (tennis ball size holes that are about 4-5" deep), tee boxes are sand pits and holes all through out. Cart paths feel like im offroading in Moab. This course should cost $15 a round for this bad of shape. Absolutely trash.

There is no pride put into maintaining this course. Not even worth $30 a round.

Used to be worth the money but i'd rather pay more to go to a different course at this point. Always cart path only, cluster of a pace, geese have crapped everywhere and completely overtaken the course, some of cart path is almost impossible to navigate you need 4x4 lol, course hasn't been mowed, trash cans overflowing, tee boxes in horrible condition, bees have drilled out holes on greens.

Staff is very nice though, only plus!

I have played Mountain View several times and it is a quirky course but always in good shape. I always give give courses benefit of the doubt when rating. That being said yesterday conditions were poor. Lost two balls in the fairway. Fairways are in bad need of mowing along with the rough. Greens have sand hornet problems and geese problems. Let them work out their issues before playing.

I wanted to like this course and the resort....but unfortunately both seem to be running low on money. The broken and potholed asphalt on the cart paths was mirrorred on the drive into the large sad resort, where the hallways lack air conditioning, the ice machines are broken, and an entire wing of rooms has been closed off in disrepair. The Mountainview course is built so that balls must be hit high on the hill before running down sideways. Sidehill lies are frequent, as are lost balls in unmanicured rough, and greens pockmarked by low lifes who don't care to repair deep ballmarks. Needs a $10 million transfusion. Play the Lakeview course if you decide to play here.

Don’t know if it’s true, I was a single hooked up with another single and he seemed to be a local. He told me the reason the course is always in rough shape is because the residents complain about sprinkler system noise. 🤔 the course layout out is awesome just needs some tender loving care.

The course is in good shape . They have made a lot of improvements since last year even adding new and to the bunkers .and fixing some of the cart paths
