Some tees and greens very questionable
Been golfing at Christmas Mountain for years and the course is in rough shape. Booked on a hot deal otherwise standard price is not worth it. Back 9 Tess and greens in rough shape
Hole 10 is up on the Mountain
We had a fun time golfing yesterday. The course was pretty decent with the exception of several greens. The beverage cart however needs to be addressed. The cart is evidently too messed up to climb the hill to tee box 10...she wasn't able to come out and sell us drinks for pretty much the whole back nine.
Needs tlc
This used to be considered one of Wisconsin Dells premier courses and worth the money.
Not any more though the course is in disrepair and the greens r horrible.
The t boxes r aweful
I don’t know what happened but I won’t even attempt to go there again until 2020
Course has been allowed to wither away. Worst shape I have seen a course. Very disappointing being a resort owner
The Oaks at Christmas Mountain
While my rating for value is a 4, that is the only reason I would come back to or recommend this course at this time. I golfed on a hot deal special through golf now which made green fees cheap; until I saw the course conditions. Then instead of a steal it made it a bargain. To be fair, the greens were smooth although similarly as shaggy as your freshly cut poodle. I felt like using my driver for a putter. The tee boxes were in terrible shape. Again, I put a tee under my ball for driving so hard sand could be sufficient. The fairways and rough were ok. I have played The Oaks at Christmas Mountain in the past, and this was easily the worst I have ever seen this course
Good Times had by all!
Very nice course, well laid out. Keeps me coming back year after year!
Great course
Fantastic course for share to good players, back nine has some greens that are being rehabbed but other than that great course
Nice layout
Wonderful staff got us off. Some of the greens were damaged, perhaps by late winter storms, but overall everything was satisfactory. Nice variety of holes. Especially #10 where you climb to the top of the ski hill and tee off into the valley below. Beautiful view. A nine hole course is also available.
Greens and tee boxes
Started off on the back 9 and play was kind of slow. Tee time was 1:20, was able to tee off at 140. Group ahead did let us play through so that was nice. The problem I had with the course were the greens and tee boxes. Multiple greens were so damaged m we decided to just take two puts and move on. Tee boxes were scorched or were without any grass on them. I’ve played many courses around the state and this course would be amazing if they maintemed it better.
Horrible upkeep
Fairways nice shape. Tee boxes horrible. Green unbelievable bad shape
Bad greens
The back nine greens were really bad moles must have done something the greens were all patched together with new sod will probably be better later
Slow greens
Greens extremely slow. Worst I have played on in last 15 years. Was not hardly worth the 20 dollar hot deal. Fairways and rough OK not as good as prior experiences.
I've seen it in better shape. It reminds me a lot of Devils Head where the view is great, the holes are challenging, but the course is poorly maintained. They could both do better!
Christmas Mountain
The day my friend and I played the course was pretty empty so the pace of play was what we wanted it to be. I'm limited on how much and where I can walk so a lot of the elevated tee boxes were a challenge. That didn't deter my enjoyment of playing this venue. The staff both on the course and the restaurant treated us almost royally and were always being asked if there was anything more they could do for us.
Played a decent round and enjoyed a very nice lunch afterwards.
Would and do recommend the venue to others.
Xmas Mtn 2
Another really good round at Xmas Mtn. I have golfed here for years and earlier this year i finally broke 90 here. Since then I've broken 90 two more times. Today shot a n 82. Super good for me. Love fall golf.
Before the wind
Golf now was able to get us hot time at Christmas Mt on Oct 23.--65 degrees and NO wind. The next day 45 degrees and 50 MPH winds.
Course was in excellent condition. Pro shop was still well stocked and prices were 40% off.
