About
The Oaks Golf Course at Christmas Mountain Village was carefully carved from the rolling hills of Wisconsin Dells. The Oaks is the 18-hole course and it is joined by the nine-hole Pines Course. The names of both courses are indicative of the mature woodland landscape you will find on each. The championship Oaks is a challenging but straightforward layout. You can play it well the first time you play it, so long as you are able to keep it in the short grass. Strategically placed sand traps come into play along many of the greens and there are water hazards on four holes. One of the most memorable holes is the 14th, an uphill par 4 that has three towering oak trees on the left side of the fairway that cause a blind shot to the green.

Slow start to 2026 season
Even with golf now coupon the price was too high based on course conditions. Aerated greens from 2025 (my guess) did not get sanded. Some greens had big brown patches. Fall out seeds from maple trees littered some greens. Sum it all up and green fee should have much much lower. Will I play again, yes, but later in the season.
Overall Good rating given as course greens are still coming around. A few showed signs of aeration, not a big deal, but greens didn't run true -- too many bumps when putting caused by nature's debris and poorly repaired ball marks. Likely will improve over next few weeks. Hadn't played here for a very long time as pace of play was always very slow. This early in season, it was great. Done in 3 & 3/4 hours.
Always a fun course
Love the layout. Greta value for the money. Greens not in there usual shape. Hopefully they improve as it gets warmer.
Greens
The greens are in rough shape.some are in need of major repair. Plus its impossible to make a putt do to air raided greens.. the price would be a little lower do to the poor green conditions
No fun here
Rotten greens. Overgrown fairways and rough. Rotten pace of play.
Worst time on a course in my life.
Rotten greens! All of them were destroyed by disease. Ballparks all over too. Every tee box was full of divots. Fairways and roughs overgrown. Goofy layout where you drive hundreds of yards to the next tee on dangerous curvy cart paths. Some elevations were ridiculous. Numerous cart tracks in mid in roughs. Never again!!
