Nice course, dry fairways this summer
We have played the Pines many times and it is generally in good shape and well cared for overall. For whatever reason the fairways are not being watered this summer and it is very dry. The greens and approach area is good and green. I have not seen it in this shape previously.
Challenging 9 hole course
I have played the Pines a number of times using GolfNow for an exceptional price. The course is reasonably well kept and the staff very friendly.
The course presents some challenges, especially some of the greens. It is not heavily played so there is generally no one pushing you or holding you up. I have always found when playing by myself or with a twosome that it is easy to pass other groups.
Course was in great condition except for a couple greens.
Golf in the Dells
The Pines is in good shape some greens are tad off but in all it is a nice course a good challenge for the average golfer
Tough start
This is a challenging 9 hole course. The first hole is difficult. I generally par 1-3 holes on a round but had no pars on this course.
I liked the course because it is different from most that I play.
Overall the course is in good shape though some of the greens are not in the best shape, (Lacking even grass with some bare spots).
Nice carts
Referring to the GPS screen and electronic scorecard on the carts which were very helpful.
Course has a decent layout with some tough holes especially no.1, a par 3 which is practically an island green. Course was in decent condition e except for some bare and rough patches on multiple greens. Overall, interesting enough to play again but a bit expensive for 9 holes in May.
Beautiful
Nice challenging course with beautiful views.
Needs TLC
My group went out on The Pines before 8 a.m. Every green had not been swept to remove the thick dew, and debris from overnight. The tee boxes were a mess with tees, debris, etc. To charge full fee for a course that does not maintain its course fully is a shame. Do better Christmas Mountain.
Coutse is in good shape, challenging. Great 9 hole course and staff is great.
A lot of bang for the buck
Looking for a good course in the Dells not at resort price and corresponding slow pace of play
I found it. Beautiful course and I played 9 in about 1 hr 20 minutes. All positive.
Played the Oaks
Played the Oaks as I thought I was playing 18 when I got there. They were kind enough to make the changes. Pace of play was pretty slow but was a beautiful day.
