Great views. Photo submitted by uBKLP1231BK on 08/05/2013
This is one of my favorite courses. .
It's a beautiful layout and difficult enough. Playing from the whites there are many short holes. But that doesn't translate to easy.
Rough rough conditions
I really hate to bash a golf course but this place just had too many issues. From no water in any of the on course water coolers, to hardpan lies all over the course, to dead spots and even just dirt on the greens, and finally having to follow a group of 7 with five carts, this course was just not enjoyable at all.
The course has unique and interesting features.
Over the past ten years, this course has been up-graded regularly. Booking tee times through Golfnow.com makes the course a good value. The course can play slow during the summer resort season. There are a number of uniques holes that make the course interesting.
Awesome
This is a beautiful course buy kicked my butt! Had a great time though. Went on a Saturday and it was like we were the only ones there. Didn't see the beer girl until the 15th hole though. that is my only complaint. Maybe because it was a slow day? Paid $45 for this on golfnow and was worth every penny. will go back after i get a little more practice in!
Great views but tight
This course has a lot of undulation throughout the course. Many tee shots are tight and narrow.
Great golfing for the price.
The course was in excellent condition, especially the well-maintained fairways. Pace of play was also good; never waited more than a minute or two on any hole, though our twosome was following 2 foursomes.
Our only critique is that a course of this caliber doesn't have GPS on their motorized carts. Knowing the distances to various hazards, not just the pin, makes club selection easier and the round more enjoyable.
Enjoyable experience.
The course is great shape with moderately difficult ruff and great greens. It is well maintained and the staff are friendly. Par 4s are challenging even from the front tees for senior golfers often requiring long second shots to difficult pins. You need to be having a good day here to score well. It is a nice challenge which usually gets the best of me.
newest 9 is very nice
before we teed off we asked if there was a beverage cart on the course. It was hot with no breeze. They told us yes but we never saw her on the front 9. When we went into the bar after 9 to get something we complained about it and they didn't even offer an apology. So as far as that it was really bad. The course itself is fun to play and in good condition. Somewhat pricey.
May 2013 Greens too slow
Played two times in 2012 and really enjoyed the course. However in May of 2013 pace of the greens were much slower. Our group could not adjust during the round even though we all noted it on the practice green.
This course is great!! many challenges
this course has many elevation changes and some deceptive looks off the tee boxes, a lot of fun to play one tee box the elevation change is over 100' down to the fairway, another hole you say I can cut the corner and hit over the water well it's further than you think! A great course and a lot of fun
