Stunning
Beautiful course with plenty of challenges at the great price. Any golfer would agree on how well maintened this course is. 1st time playing here while at the dells but definitely won't be the last. Highly recommended.
GOLFNOW price was great for the course
The course was in good condition, played at a good pace, and was a challenge. Like the option of 5 tee setup for various skill levels. Enjoyed our round. Can’t beat the price due to GOLFNOW hot deals.
Cold Water Canyon
Pace was too slow.
We played 5hr round.
Too slow to enjoy.
People need to play appropriate tees.
What Happened To This Course?
I cannot express how saddened I am that my favorite golf course in the Wisconsin Dells has become what it is today. The old front nine used to be so beautiful, good greens, great fairways, good tee boxes. What I experienced today looks like a golf course that’s for sale. All the tea boxes were chewed up, there were burn marks, and a lot of the greens, the fairways were shaggy and the ruff was unkept The front nine, which used to be such a joy to play was in absolutely atrocious condition. What used to be a nice secluded little nine is now being opened up for God knows what reason lots of trees being cut down lots of construction going on and worst of all the previously noted conditions of the course. If you’re contemplating playing this course, I would only pay for nine and insist on playing the back nine. It certainly appears that they’re only taking care of the back nine these days. Perhaps they’re going to ruin this historic front nine of the golf course to expand the resort and add more zip lines. I have probably played this course 60 times in my life and I will never return. For what they charge for this course it should be in pristine condition and it is anything but. Save your money go to Christmas mountain or Baraboo.
Friendly staff!
Staff was great at check-in! Unfortunately, there was a very large group at the bar and only one bartender, so I could not get a mixed drink for the course… oh well! There was a bev cart on the course! We saw her three times before we finished the first 9 holes. 😀 didn’t get a drink every time though!
Course in good condition
Lots of breaks on the greens. There are shorter options on all the tee boxes if wanted..
Other Worldly
Very early season. Aerated greens from last season not quite filled in yet. A ton of on course maintenance has been done. Forest has been thinned and the long grass went through a prairie burn. Hundreds of balls exposed outside the fairways. Most looked like roasted marshmallows. I couldn’t resist hitting a few and they performed remarkably well.
Last day of operation (in Wisconsin)
Will be heading to Florida soon. What I anticipate is dormant grass with some overseeding and plenty of bare sand patches. Last open day here had rich green grass well maintained from tee through the green. Temperature in the mid 50s. If it weren’t for deer hunting season, we might be able to play longer. Thank you global warming.

Golf course in very good shape and greens very well maintained. We have very good time.Staff are very friendly. We play there again
Played a great round, Front nine is the original course, built in 1923, so there is a stark contrast between the front and the back, making for a fun round. conditions were fair, pin placements were challenging. overall good experience, coincidentally played my best round of the season.
Great Course! Just Need To Soft Some Of The Ground In Certain Places
Great course, front 9 is tight fairways w/ trees lined up & down the fairway more of an american golf style course. Back 9 is wayyy more open w/ fescue & sand trap trouble, more of a scottish style golf. Only thing I'd say was not ideal was the fairway from the front of the green to about 20-30 yards in front were rock solid, so if you hit your ideal distance EVERYTHING is hitting the ground an bouncing over the green kind of like hitting the cart path. Other then that course was amazing, pace of play was a little slow but it was a Sunday w warm weather what do you expect. 10/10 recommended
