About Grand Geneva Resort & Spa

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a sprawling 1,300-acre, AAA Four Diamond property, home to 355 rooms and 29 new villas. It's a four-season destination with the Mountain Top ski and snowboard facility and the 225-room Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, an indoor-outdoor waterpark. Sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago, Grand Geneva invites city slickers to enjoy the laid-back lake life for a while. It started out as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club, part of Hugh Hefner’s empire. That chapter closed in 1981. Eventually, the property rebranded as a luxury golf resort in 1994 with fine dining and conference facilities for corporate clients. The Highlands and The Brute roll over hills and water hazards, creating distinct theaters for challenging and memorable golf. The WELL Spa + Salon, located in a separate fitness building, offers more than 65 treatments and services.

gorgeous and challenging course

We played this course using golf now and it was amazing. Sand bunkers the size of Rhode Island, tremendous conditions and a terrific staff. Would play this course any day. Odd thing was seeing two guys wearing wife beaters on the course. Wouldn't expect that here.

Loved the course!

Loved the course! It is much better than the neighboring Lake Geneva courses and is worth $90. I played it for $50 ant that was a steal. The course is in great shape.

Bring your 'A' sand game, because there are some huge bunkers out there.

Everything from the bag drop, to the bartender and everything in between was very enjoyable. Loved the rolling hills and large greens. You don't see that everywhere.

The staff was great, the course was in perfect condition even with heavy play. It was a Holiday week and the pace moved swiftly.

Great course. I will play here again frequently with your website. Even though the course was crowded we finished in less than 4 hours.

Very Nice

Course was in great condition. Elevation changes make it a very eye appealing round. GPS carts are the best of the best, they are a caddy on wheels.

Wisconsin golf at its finest

Great course for the money. Saw plenty of wildlife. No homes on the course make it feel as if you are talking a walk thru the countryside. You may even have a plane take off from the small airport on the property.

Greens were in great shape and fast. Most pin placements were in decent spots.

Will continue to play this course

delightful

absolutely beautiful course. The rough is tough, and the greens are sometimes hard to read, but the course is in great condition. I got a great price on golfnow, so it was well worth it. Probably wouldn't pay the normal price to play here.

course management a must

Their are two courses at The Grand Geneva Resort, The Brute and the Highlands. Pricing makes you think the Brute is better ($169/Brute $125/Highlands) but even the pro's here prefer the Highlands because it takes more skill to work your way around the course to give yourself the proper angles to shoot low. The Brute on the other hand is more wide open and designed to gaudy with HUGE greens, HUGE fairways and HUGE bunkers. both great courses but the Highlands is for shot producers.

This course is very good all around.

Staff very good. Course was in very good condition. This was the middle of the week but the pace of play was excellent. The Brute is a challenging course but fair. GPS carts accurate and very helpful yardages.

Very fair, yet challenging course

Staff is wonderful, range is great, and the course is a good design. Its very playable, yet does demand a variety of shots.

Bad day for The Brute

Normally a great course but no so much on 10/27/12 with the slow play, over 5 hours. Busy day but they actually let a fivesome out there, it was very slow. Course was pristine except for the aerated greens (reduced rate) so I won't hold that against them. No more fivesomes!!!
