Golf Gem by the Lake
One of our favorite courses to play every year. Has everything you would want. Nice clubhouse, well maintained cars and equipment. The Course is in excellent condition. Ball washers with soapy water yeah on every hole. Greens well manicured tee boxes in good shape. Perfect for golfers of any skill level. Lots of places to eat and a lake to take a walk by before or after your game. The resort lodging is the best around so a weekend visit with water and golf is awesome. Check it out you will be come a regular.
Slow play
A twosome in front of us, (threesome) was extremely slow? He was somewhat teaching his playing partner (wife) how to golf but was not willing to have us play thru.
A course ranger could have solved the issue.
Super conditions and great greens
I played this course on a Sunday afternoon in mid August. We were able to get off early and played as a twosome in 3 1/2 hours with a cart. Course has nice mix of par 5s on the front (par 37) and old-school feel or short par 4s and long par 3s on the back (par 34). With huge oak trees all over the course protecting some errant tee shot/approach angles it was a fun course to play. The speed of the greens was moderately fast for a resort course and the conditions of the tees, fairways, and fringes were all in great condition. I would drive the 45 minutes from Milwaukee to play this course again.
I'll be back
Very well taken care of.
staff was great
greens are good challenge
Fantastic course, well maintained, great staff!
It was a test day for 9. Beautiful course, great equipment and friendly staff. Fair pricing. Had a nice mix of shorter and longer holes.
Great Staff
Allowed friendly. Course was fun. Will definitely play here again
Confusing layout to find next holes
I liked the course a lot, but they definitely need more signage to get to the next hole. We were confused on a couple of holes, especially 17!
Short yardage holes, but challenging
My 2 grandsons and I golfed this course for the 1st time. The price for 18 holes and cart for the 3 of us after 3pm was very reasonable for a resort course open to the public. The staff was accommodating and so friendly. The yardage for some holes may not have been long, but they presented some challenge. The course was in excellent condition and we played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. I'd highly recommend playing this course at least once, and you'll get hooked like my grandsons and I.
Nice layout
Well placed traps. Overall greens are fairly small and harder to hit, numerous have big slopes.
