WRGC Fall Golf
We enjoyed perfect fall weather the first week of October and were rewarded but a challenging, yet fair, round. We played from the white tees and found them commensurate with our 60+ ages and handicaps. The greens were in great shape and ran true, albeit quite undulating on most holes. I would highly recommend Wild Rock for its shear vistas and natural beauty, let alone the immaculate care tendered to the course itself.
Great Course
I play here once a year and always have an amazing time. Great course - not too tight and playable for mid-handicappers, but a great challenge with really tough greens. Course is always in great shape and cart touch screen GPS is great. Pace of play is generally closer to 4.5 hrs.
Fall Outing
A challenging, but fair course, for sure. Really enjoyed the holes where carry distance to the fairway was paramount to getting your ball in play. Many holes provided absolutely beautiful vistas and the greens provided undulating targets.
Long Difficult Course
The course is well maintained. The day we played it, it was windy and cool. Unfortunately we had a very slow foursome ahead of us. Compounding the problem, there was no course marshal queuing this group to improve their pace of play! We found this a bit troubling considering cost to play this course. Outside of a few par fours that were extremely long, we enjoyed the course layout very much.
A par four from the white tee’s shouldn’t exceed 410 yrds, yet one we played was set at 475 yrds into a strong head wind?? Simply ridiculous! Clearly the tee boxes should have been moved up based on the weather forecast that day, yet they weren’t? In fact they were moved back?
We will definitely play this course again under better weather conditions. Very nice course overall.
Starter was a very kind and informative individual ;)
Wild Rock is a beautiful golf course that is always fun to play!
I play here 4 times a year minimum. Take advantage of their off season coupon deal. Great value and hope that never stops.
Cheese in Wisco
Great track...1 of the top 5 courses in Wisconsin! Can't wait to come back & play it again
Definitely worth a look
Really had a great time here. Layout is a bit challenging at points, but not impossible. There are a few holes that are just jaw-dropping (#6 especially). I think it would be a sight to see during the fall color change (even if the weather wasn't so ideal). Guy in the front was a little bit grumpy but the bag attendants and ranger were super nice and helpful. Think I might go back and try the other course next year.
Must Play
This course is amazing. We played Trappers Turn and University Ridge during the same weekend and Wild Rock was our favorite - by a long shot. The price was a steal. If this course was in Kohler (its that good) they'd be charging $400 to play it. I will definitely be going back.
Fair but Challenging Course.
A really well maintained and beautiful golf course. Many sets of tee's, so great for golfers of all abilities. Great food and a nice bar area and pro shop! Highly recommend!
Great course
It's a very nice 9 hole course has a couple challenging holes but overall not bad friendly staff nice driving range and putting green and price is very welcoming. Lots of wildlife around every hole
Great Relaxing Round of Golf
Great views, well kept holes and a realxing pace made for a great round of golf. The staff was very friendly.
Beautiful course!
We enjoyed playing here! Beautiful condition! We will be back!!
Best around
It is a beautiful course best area I think. Tee time was 240 and about 78° it was perfect day to play I think we went 2hrs without seeing anyone but cart girls they have a nice spot on hole 10 for food n drink if needed. Everyone is always friendly they have a nice driving range and putting green included in fee's so get there early. Will definitely play this once twice a year going forward.
