Wild Rock
Great course to play. Extremely exciting and challenging course.
Beautiful golf course
This was my first time playing at this course. I played in the early afternoon just after a rain storm after driving in from a few hours away. I found a good deal on the GolfNow app and thought I would give it a try as I was on my way to meet up with friends the next dayamd had some time to myself. The course was in great shape, the pace of play was perfect and the layout was amazing! It did not disappoint. This course can be really long if you were to play at the farthest tees. Challenging holes, beautiful surroundings, slight breeze with blue skies. The greens were fast, but this is a place I would love to play again. I may look into staying at the lodge and playing a few times in a row in the future. Enjoy!
The boys are back!
Very well set up, and course was in great condition. Cart service was nice, and rates are good. My friends didn't like the "clown" greens...I thought they were fun, but watch out!
Pace of play was SLOW...and really could've used some help from the marshal as we we're usually waiting on every tee box. This course will be played again!
Need a Marshall
Great day, great course, very friendly staff. Played as a threesome. Caught the foursome in front of us by the fourth hole. And then for the next 15 holes met them at the tee box every hole with no play through. Had Marshall tech on the course - anyone monitoring this? Need to do better as the course is awesome and the staff could not have been friendlier but a 4:45 hour round for a three some is not good.
Warm, prefect day
I love this course but throw new GPS devices and App in the TRASH. Ours did not start until the second hole and was off on distances until the fourth. Screen is too small to see details and no zoom or distance marking features. Good thing we had GPS watches.
Most fun and challenging par 3 I've ever played
This being the first year open there were temporary tees on every hole, but they were excellent fiber-built tees. I would say they are better than real grass.. The holes are short enough that anyone can play the course and have fun. The course doubles back on itself many times, so if you are looking for someplace to have a company outing this would be an excellent choice, The greens and green complexes are challenging enough to keep even the best players interested.
Wild Rock is a beautiful course with very challenging greens. The only disappointment was the divots and ball marks everywhere. You can tell that it is “resort” golfers that golf it and they don’t repair their marks. This is not a knock on Wild Rock, but rather a knock on a lot of the people that golf it. The course itself is in great shape.
Course is beautiful and in really good shape. The GPS that we had in the cart didn't work, so judging distances was not easy, as they are not marked very often. The greens are fast which is great, but mowed so close that in spots you were seeing dirt, so they weren't the smoothest.
Decent, but not worth the money
Look - it’s a solid course. It’s well kept, staff are nice, and it’s overall decent. But a few notes: it runs a bit slow, is quite difficult for the average player, but most of all it is just SO. SPREAD. OUT.
There is no way this course is walkable. You’re driving 400 yards plus between most holes. I guess I’m a golf purest: but a course should be able to be walked.
Is it a nice course? Sure. If you get a deal would I recommend it? Sure. But for the price? Far better. Head to WashCo or URidge for a better value.
