Formerly a private golf club, Shadow Lakes is now public and open year-round though the club still has a membership who gets preferred tee times. The golf course is challenging with not only the trees and hills coming into play, but water hazards and strategically placed sand traps as well. It is a layout that rewards accuracy off the tees over distance. Golfers will have to strategize and shape their shots in a variety of ways on this tough golf course. The ninth is one of the most memorable holes at Shadow Lakes. This seemingly easy par 4 is tougher than it looks, requiring a downhill layup and then a second shot that plays across a pond to the uphill green.
