Surrounded by the Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa, and Book Cliffs the Golf Club at Redlands Mesa features dramatic elevation changes that offer spectacular views. The layout incorporates the large rock outcroppings and natural water features that cover the scenic desert landscape. Jim Engh, the golf course's designer, also took full advantage of the rolling terrain. Nine holes play downhill from elevated tees. Bunkers are strategically placed throughout and water comes into play on five holes. The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa's signature hole of the course is the par-3 17th, which features a large green set in an amphitheater of natural rock with a stunning mountain backdrop.
