About
The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida is a collaboration between Tony Jacklin and Jack Nicklaus. The two are linked forever because of the 1969 Ryder Cup matches at Royal Birkdale when Nicklaus conceded a short putt to Jacklin that halved their match. The Concession Golf Club, a private club established in 2005, is named for that moment. Nicklaus designed the course, which stretches to 7,474 yards and has a 155/76.6 slope/rating. The greens are also particularly undulating. A remarkable practice facility and short course (The Gimme Course) was added in 2019. In addition to hosting the 2021 World Golf Championships, Concession is also NCAA Championship host and bi-annual host of the Concession Cup, established in 2014.
