About
Tres Marias Residential Golf Club is the centerpiece of a peacefully secluded community in Morelia. It is home to two courses, the Jack Nicklaus-designed championship course called El Reto (formerly known as North Course), and El Desafío (formerly known as South Course), which is a nine-hole Nicklaus Design course. Both courses sprawl across a rugged terrain that provides plenty of challenges. Uneven lies are hard to find and accuracy is essential for doing well. Tres Marias' North Course is a popular venue for tournaments and events due to its balance of playability and difficulty. The shorter South Course is the easier of the two due to its length but it has many of the same challenges as the longer course. It also shares the same scenic views of the club's namesake landmark, a rock formation that looks like a trio of standing figures.
