About
The Golf de Biarritz le Phare, created in 1887 by the British community in Biarritz, was designed by Willie and Tom Dunn. As the oldest golf club on the Basque Coast, it was given its final configuration by architect H.S. Colt in the 1910s. The Golf de Biarritz le Phare is an 18-hole Par 69, measuring 5,372 meters. Despite its seemingly easy appearance and lack of significant physical effort required, Golf de Biarritz le Phare presents challenges in its technicality, making it not so easy to score well. A total of 70 bunkers serve as a reminder that golf is primarily a matter of strategic thinking and insight. The greens are fast, and the rough is discreet.
