About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Course was not busy?
Getting to the end of the season, thought the course would be very crowded. Nope, it was wide open, did the 18 in just over 3 hours. Course is in great shape, they are working to keep the leaves off the fairways (and losing) but that is basically every golf course right now.
Course is in good shape
Course was in good condition, we were a 4some, no one in front of us. We let a 2some go through at 10, that was it. Enjoyable day (with the exception of the wind on the back 9)
Fun Course
We had a great outing and the course was in really good shape. Season is winding down, so there was no cart girl. But the clubhouse provided us with a cooler & ice for our drinks. I wish this course was closer to where we live, but still worth the 50 min drive.
Course is in good shape
Course was almost empty, didn't have to wait until the 16th hole, and then, not for that long. Did the 18 holes in 3 hours. Greens are a little slow but very readable.
Worth the Drive
Challenging enough to make the trip out for a round or stop when travelling through....very lucky if you live here!!

Price is a little high, but course is in very good condition. Greens are average speed but consistent.

Course is in great shape
Prices have gone up this year, not as good a deal as the past. Unfortunate, so we do not golf here near as much as before. Course is in great shape; greens are nice a fast.
