About
Since opening in 1997 Northlands has received many accolades, including being named "Best New Course" and a "Best Place to Play" by Golf Digest. The golf course was designed by Les Furber, one of Canada's most prolific designers who is known for his skill with mountainous landscapes. It was important to him to maintain the beauty of the terrain while also utilizing its features to craft a challenging course. Natural hazards are strategically located throughout, especially on the back nine, which features water on several holes. The Thomas Creek crossings make an appearance on the 15th hole as well as the final two holes. Golfers will definitely face some challenges but they are balanced by large, inviting greens that don't have any severe undulations. The mix of player-friendly and formidable holes has made Northlands one of the most popular public golf courses in metro Vancouver.
