About
Named after the Turkey Bayou that comes into play on a few holes, the original 18 opened for play in the late 1950s, and the club added an additional nine holes (the Links) in 1993.
All three nines are different, offering a good combination of traditional golf over wooded terrain and plenty of links-style golf with rolling hills and tall grasses. The original Bayou Course has the tree-lined fairways and small greens, while the newer Links Course features more water (7 holes), the only bunkers of the entire 27 holes, and more elevated greens.
The best hole on the Links is No. 7, a long 585-yarder that plays like a par 6 into the wind. No. 12 on the Bayou is a 322-yard par 4 that's notable for its island green.
Getting there : From I-10 east take the 845 exit and turn right on Major Drive. At the second stop sign (Labelle), turn right and you'll see the club.
