About

Editor's Note: Course closed for business.

The Potomac Ridge golf course is conveniently situated just off the Washington Beltway, giving easy access to and from Alexandria, D.C., Annapolis and Prince George's and Charles Counties. The course offers 27 holes of championship golf divided into the Hollow, Meadows, and Ridge nines. Originally opened as the 18-hole Southview Golf Course in 1996, the name was changed and another nine was added in 2003. The Hollow Course is one of two designed by Tom Clark. It's the longest of the three at 3,375 yards from the back tees, but it's just barely longer than the Ridge nine, which was designed by Tom Walker. All of the golf courses are player friendly enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the three nines, there is also a full practice facility that included a driving range short game area, and a putting green.
