Escanaba Country Club

I rolled into the parking lot and heard a lot of chainsaws working. When I checked in, I was told holes 11-13 were out of "service" due a storm that had rolled through overnight and several trees were down.

You would never know it - the grounds guys were busting hump and I did not run into any issues - even with all the people working. By the time I got to 11 - all was cleared - obvious they were working their tails off. I love this course - especially on a Monday morning....very light as far as golfers.

Great course with barely anyone on the course. Was told by staff that’s the way it is on Mondays 🤣

Thank goodness though, there was a club member who navigated me to holes #10 and #18, not sure if I would have found them.

All the guys working were super nice and all waived.

There’s also a dude cutting the REALLY likes to sing - made me laugh every time I heard him.

This review has to do with the way the course is managed. I've been a member for about 7 years now. I cannot even come close to saying how many times I've come off of #9 only to have golfers starting out on #10 instead of #1. When you approach them, they tell you "Jeff told us to start on the back". As soon as the front gets backed up any, golfers are told to go to #10. This is wrong!! Another situation is when you either come off #9 or #17 and you all of a sudden have to wait while people are hitting two and three balls "Warming Up". It wouldn't be so bad if they payed attention and if someone did come up, they would pick up their balls and move on. I've had to sit at the tee box while players play 3 balls warming up. I'm sorry but #10 and 18 are not a driving range. The worst part of all this is that the manager doesn't do anything about it. Actually, he doesn't do anything about anything. I think it's about time situations like this ended or maybe it's time to switch memberships!!

The Course was in the immaculate condition. . Kudos to the ground crew and everyone involved at this course to keep it in this kind of awesome condition!.

Very nice Course. Would definitely play again. Great value for the price.

Golfnow app is difficult to manage especially trying to get a refund or credit due to course closure.

Played years ago a little rough around the edges. Glad we came back, course in nice shape and great value on hot deal highly recommend

A decent track, the course condition was very good, nice fairways (kinda tight), fantastic greens that were incredibly fast. Pin placements were brutal. The course played incredibly fast, My son and I played the course twice while we were vacationing in the Gladstone/Escanaba area, it’s not an overly difficult course, but the greens can eat you up. I would’ve been disappointed if paying the regular rate for 18 and a cart, but we were able to find some me great rates for select tee times throughout the day.
