Divi
It’s a nine hole course
Many tees to play from
Not a dessert course like the other one on the island
Fun to okay
Enjoyed playing Divi
Course was in reasonable condition. Pace of play was good.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Wind
First time we played the wind was terrible. Blew your ball off the tee. Second time it was great...no wind.. greens are a little rough. First course we've played where they don't provide bottled water
Poor quality but correct layout
Not disappointed about it because we read a lot of comment mentioned that the course was poor quality… it’s not really a golf course… more a practice one. Weather is rough too! It’s always windy in Aruba! Have a great time with friends!
Divi Links - worth it !!!!
Interesting layout - wind is for real and a challenge - staff is fantastic - please don’t forget sun protection and families playing low key resort golf - you will appreciate the wet towel at the end
Bair and Switch
Terrible experience that left our son (6) in tears after showing up to play this course with a GolfNow Booking on Feb 27th, 2024. They would not honor the prepaid GolfNow price, and expected us to pay full price of $97 per person plus rentals on top of the non refundable $40 per golfer already paid to golf now. Other reviews posted a
have experianced similar tactics as appears they are running some sort of bait and switch scam. With clubs, the total cost for 9 holes for a family of 3 would have been $549 usd. That is absolutely ridiculous. We asked to compromise to play at full rate but give us credit for the $$ already paid to golf now. The pro shop manager looked at my son in tears and shrugged her shoulders saying they don't get paid from GolfNow. This was an absolutely despicable treatment of our family who have golfed all over the world using GolfNow and never experienced this. The course was empty and the Islands sloggan is "One Happy Island", not our experience. Don't Book this resort, but if you do don't book through GolfNow hot rate, I'd hate to have another family treated like we a
were.
Nice 8 hole course. Back nine is almost same tee box as front nine.
Very windy, too many iguanas everywhere!
No GPS on carts. Most of staff very friendly. Driving range you hit into a net 15 feet away. Total waste of time there.
It was fine golf with the golf now price. I t was slow but we were there to relax. Aruba time!
The Links at Divi
The coarse control was not very good. No ranger , starter and the bar was not open the first day we played on coarse. . This coarse is alright though for fun. I don’t know if a golfer with a 6 and below handicap would enjoy it
The course is in good condition with a friendly staff. A little pricey for 9 holes, however if you play 18 they discount the reply 50%.
Professional Greenskeeper Needed
It’s apparent that a professional greenskeeper could make significant improvement to the greens and tee blocks
Poor management Golf Pro and Divi Golf
When I called to reservations for two days I was told there was no reduced price if you stay at the Divi Golf Resort. In informed them anyway and paid full price. Second day a different staff member asked to see my green bracelet which I was not given at the resort. Only after playing golf and paying full price I found out you do get a 20percent discount staying at golf resort. I called pro shop and they refused to reimburse me because I didn’t do it the day I played. I was never told I was entitled to a discount at either Diivi Golf Resort or Pro Shop. In fact I was told there was no discount. They don’t know what they are doing and refuse to do right by their customers when they are clearly wrong.
Their client's treatment is plainly outreageous....
I arrive today at this course, 20 minutes before my tee time, where I have plaid countless times before on my Aruba Vacations.
I stated my name and the tee time and sadly my reservation did not show "on their system".
I explained to her that I had my reservation and would be able to show it to her if she gave me access to the internet.
Instead of taking my word for it, she gave me access to their internet and I was able to show them the attached reservation.
Even though the course was absolutely empty, the lady at the desk stated that "they were upgrading their systems" and thus I should cancel my reservation at GolfNow and pay them the $ 81 fee for 9 holes.
I stated that this could not be " standard procedure" and asked to speak to the Supervisor, whom she stated she contacted twice, on the phone, and reaffirmed the fact that that is what I should do.
I asked to speak to her Supervisor myself and instead of taking care of my issue, she was answering calls when I was standing in front of her, in complete disbelief of this treatment to a client that they had registered on their database.
Finally, my patience was surpassed, and I hung out her call.
Obviously, this got her attention and that of her Supervisor.
Needless to say, things escalated up to the point where I grabbed my clubs and left their facility.
HORRENDOUS
Horrible tee boxes,, slow pace of play, confusing set up, no starter. You can’t have 4 different people on the same hole!!!!!! They just take peoples money and send them out. Terrible experience.
