Great Course
One of the best courses around. Highly reccomended.
Great course. tough layout
Very tough course. Very hilly and ball usually was above or below your feet hitting into greens. The greens were very fast and challenging.
This course is 2 thumbs up!
This course was in great shape! Very hilly, challenging and great views! The club house/restaurant was very nice. Did not eat there but the menu looked good.
I am looking forward to playing there again!
Worth the 1 1/2 hr drive
I travel past this area several times a year and never knew this course was there. The course was in great shape. Very hilly... I would not recommend walking.
Challenging and interesting. Club house really nice. Did not stay to eat but menu looks good.
Great Hilly Course
This was a very challenging course due to the terrain. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Fun course to play.
Course was in great shape. Fun and challenging. Worth the drive.
Tough course
Elevation changes and the slope of the greens add to this courses already challenging layout. Some 'carry' is required from the blue tees.
Several groups of locals lolly gagged and loafed around the course, slowing things considerably.
No ranger was present
Great Course
What a nice course. Great views and some awesome holes
Great Course!! Hidden Gem!
Suggested to my friend that we take the trip up north to play this course. I described it to him as a shorter version of Longaberger GC. The course was in excellent condition, however the greens were softer & slower than I remembered, due to the steady rain the day before. There are some awesome views & challenging holes. This is definitely a shotmakers course, and you have to position your tee shot at the correct angle if you want to fire at the pins! We decided on the ride home that we will be returning to play their after they get some dry weather to add a little fire to the course & greens. It is worth the trip, a real hidden gem!
Wonderful place
Love this course. Lots of challenges and gorgeous views. Has become one of my favorites. Great condition too.
Great course
Although we had 1 or 2 inches of rain early that day, the course was very playable. They let carts out on the fairways. Excellent landscape and elevation changes added to the views. One of the nicest courses in the area. The GPS feature was a big help.
This is truly a 5 star facility
Deer Ridge is a real gem. Thanks to Golfnow for the hot deal rate. The course is close to I-71, but, one would think you were 10 miles from civilization when on the course. Front 9 is extremely hilly, with many forced shots over ravines. Back 9 is flat on several holes. All greens are undulating, large, and difficult. I had five 3 putts on the front 9 alone.
This course compares quite well to Longaberger as far as quality, at a lower rate. I played in 2 and 1/2 hours, and never saw another player on the entire front nine. I highly recommend this course .
Excellent Golf Course
Great Club House Restaurant and Pro Shop. Really liked the Pad on the cart showing distance to hole as well as the ball and club cleaner on the cart. Gentle rolling country side, great cart path, with fairways and greens in good shape. It was an enjoyable round of golf including a good lunch and drinks and appetizers at the bar afterward. Will definitely go again.
WOW
High wow factor. The use of vertical topography is what raises this course from high quality to excellent.
Well placed hazards, demanding greens, testy blind drives, multiple length tees. Stay out of the woods to avoid copious poison ivy Used every club in the bag.
Highly recommended for the low handicap amateur.
Lots of hills and even lies
I always enjoy this course. For the price, its in pristine and excellent layout. I recommend it. Only downside is its little too far for me.
Not for the Faint of Heart
Beautiful course ... very challenging greens. Keeping the ball below the hole is a premium.
GPS on Carts is a huge improvement.
Golfer's course
This is the best public course in the area. It's HARD, but a great track. Lots of elevation changes, some tight driving lanes, and enough trouble to ruin your day if you are off your game.
Not a long course, but you have to use every club in the bag. This course will also make you think and plan your game. Chances to take risks and get rewarded, but will punish you if you miss. The ability to work the ball isn't mandatory, but will set up a few much easier approaches.
