Good practice 9 holer
A good share of challenges. Hitting fairways is key, as lots of roll in roughs. Tricky putts.
Quick, challenging round
My wife booked Oak Knoll GC through my GolfPass account as we drove into the area for our first time visiting, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but enjoyed my 18-hole round and the green fee rate with cart; check-in was quick and easy, and the gentleman gave me some tips about the layout and front/back nine play; there were several very challenging holes that made it quite fun to play; the fairways were a bit needing of water and some TLC compared to other courses I have played on this trip, but the tee boxes and greens were in good shape.
would highly consider playing here again if ever in the area again..
Oak Knoll is a Gem
The greens were in excellent condition, and I mean excellent. There were zero ball marks on the greens! Crazy! And there were no dead patches or small grassless spots on the greens as can be found on many courses. Just about every lie on the fairways was easy to hit, but there was some taller rough to make things challenging if you landed off the fairways. All in all Oak Knoll is now one of our favorite courses.
Incredible value
C' mon, 18 w/cart for less than $20, in a good setting, w/amenities, and actual golf. I played 3 times in last year, It's what my buddy can afford. The greens in may were lightning, but hard, single fringe decent. Bunkers had sand, but realize is slightly courser. Rough was rough but usually findable. Fairways are kinda 50/50, maybe 60/40, for finding turf and a decent lie. If you get a lie in fairway, that is worse than you ever could reasonably expect, take a drop as under repair, problem solved. A muni bargain.
Great Course
The only golf course in Ashland Or & a good one to play at! Very Affordable and offers some moderately challenging holes & beautiful surroundings!
Nicer than what I expected
I found the course/greens to be much better than the reputation going around about Oak knoll.
Getting better
Greens are now mowed at a puttable height, it was like putting on a tee box when I played a month ago. Greens have a lot of moss and other “grasses” that make some of the greens pretty bumpy. Played from 10-2 and didn’t see one grounds person working on the course! Still a great deal for $17, 18 holes with a cart.
Great hidden gem
I was visiting for work brought my clubs with me and wanted to play. What first attracted me to this course? Was the price on Golf now. You just can’t beat it. When I got there the Staff was extremely friendly. Great staff. The course is exactly what I needed. I wish I lived closer. I would be here several times a week working on my game. I’ll be planning another work trip just to get back out here to Golf.
Hairy greens
Got a great price on GolfNow for only $14.95 plus fees for 18 holes with the cart. Very friendly staff, marshall was friendly and helped out on the course. The major drawback for this course is the extremely slow greens. Greens mower is set very high, the green height you would see on a temporary green. The tee boxes also had high grass. We had a 10 o’clock tee time and only saw one person working on the course.
Rustic course where almost every hole is on a slope
Course has improved over the past couple of years, but the fairways are lumpy so the balls can be on a poor lie on them.
