Friendly Staff, Good Layout, Inexpensive & My 1st HIO!
Opened up GN & saw a new course offering a $23 Hot Deal, so I said what the heck & booked the tee time. It was about an hour drive, but the drive was easy.
The proshop is in a metal building tucked in behind a big wood fence. The gentleman in the proshop was very nice.
For it being a Sunday @ 11:15, the pace of play was good for a layout that can be tricky. The holes close to the proshop/driving range are squeezed in tight together, so I was a bit worried about getting hit with a stray ball on those holes. #5 Was memorable because you can cut the corner over a house with a good drive (or break a window with a bad one) & have a short iron/wedge in on a par 5. The back wound through the woods & was quite tight.
The highlight of the trip was my first hole in one! It came on the 123 yard par 3 11th.
Long story short... if you can catch a Hot Deal it's definitely worth it. Lots of weeds in the fairway & the greens were full of poa annua, but it was a fun layout with friendly staff. I'll come back in the late spring/early summer to see how it is then.
Back 9 is really scenic!
To start with, this was fantastic for the price paid for green fees.. I’m interested in coming back in the spring when there is more grass on the fairways. Greens are not in horrible shape. The course could use more signage, but again it was a great value and we had fun.
This Course is Amazing
I would definitely recommend this Golf Course! It's not just a Golf course, it is also a wonderful place to Fellowship and to see the beautiful landscape! This Course is Amazing, and the GM and the Ownership is absolutely fantastic! God Bless this Place!
Staff
Some old lady wants to come out yelling saying we were parked on the green, we were at least 10-15 yards away. COULD'VE BEEN WAY FRIENDLIER with the way she handled things. Also, $40 to play the whole course is ridiculous when last year was just $20. WILL NOT COME BACK. REALLY SAD TO BECAUSE THEIR ACTIONS WERE NOT OF THE “KINGDOM”
