After opening in November of 1998, Concho Springs Golf Course received rave reviews, particularly for its lush, green conditions -- a rarity for small-town courses that border drought-prone West Texas. This is a nine-hole country track with wide-open fairways and large, quick greens. Brady Creek winds its way through the golf course, coming into play on a few holes. In fact, since the hazards are minimal on this basic little course, one of the biggest challenges is dealing with the surprisingly deceptive greens. One of the best holes at Concho Springs G.C. is no. 3, a long par 5 with a tough dogleg fairway.
