Panorama Golf Club - Winged Foot Course

Panorama has three nine-hole courses. We played 19 to 27 and one to nine. It’s a fair but challenging course with undulating greens. Usually, a course is in very good condition, but this week the Greens on 18 to 27 had not been mowed, so putting was difficult. Course in greens on holes one through nine were great

From pace of play, to course conditions and layout, what else could you ask for from a 27 hole course. That is if you like fast greens. And, YES I love fast green that run true. Just practice a couple of dozen lag putts before you go out and you'll really enjoy the round.

The course is in such great shape due to club management.

I hadn’t played this course in over a year. Played Rolling Hills, then Winged Foot. Conditions were way better than expected. Fast pretty pure greens for the price. Will definitely be playing here again soon.

Generally pretty forgiving off the tee, course makes up for it with fairly difficult greens. 9/26

We had 3 groups of 5 in front of us who happen to be members and were playing for money so they were super slow. We had to wait on them on each hole and they knew we were waiting but never tried to speed up so that they weren't an entire hole behind the group in front of them. Golf rules and etiquette STILL APLLY even when you're a MEMBER, right?

A co-worker had mentioned to me that I should play this course. He mentioned it was a bit of a challenge and let me tell you that he wasn’t wrong. Course has tight fairways and fast greens. Couldn’t buy a put. A player on our foursome would put from 3 feet and the ball would go past the hole about 6 feet. Nevertheless I will definitely be back. Hopefully shoot a lower score now that I know the layout.

We played the Winged foot and thunderbird. The holes are either 90 degree dog legs or just dead straight. Greens are tiny, domed, or have severe slopes. All 3 ppl in my group said they wouldn’t go back due to the greens. Words used by the group to describes the greens were “gimmicky”, “not fun”, and “annoying”.

I understand the greens are the defense of this course but if you took a professional out there they’d probably deem most pin positions illegal due to being in slopes.

Pace of play is also slow. A week day mid afternoon round was still over 4 hrs and watching the group in front of us tee off on most holes.

With all that said… a green expansion and re-contouring could make this one of the better courses on the north side of Houston. A lot of the slow play is due to the issues with the greens. We watched the group in front of us 3-putt and pick up without ever making it in the cup most the time.

For the heat wave that we have had, the course was very well kept. Greens were great and the fairways were nice and green. Will play there again for sure

Will have a chance to hit all your clubs on this course. The Beaty of this course is changes in terrain and green complexes. The greens have plenty of slope and tier changes, reward well thought out approach shots and scoring iron precision. There are very few straight forward up and downs and greens roll well.

Nice for a casual and ni frills round of golf. I enjoyed the course.

To even play at twilight hrs and pay $50 is overpriced for this course, saw the beverage person 1 time just after tee off and the overall condition of the greens and course were not that good

Was awesome until I stepped into a hole at #5 tee box at the cart path and twisted my ankle

Well, its aeriation time again and we just happen to catch Panorama on 6/24 after the greens were punched. The had not been sanded so they were bumpy and slow. Due to the recent rains the course was a little behind in the mowing so the rough was thick and required extra time to find balls not that far off the fairway. But the layout is challenging and the greens should heal pretty quickly. Pace was 4 hrs even having to search for balls in rough.

I've played some of the local courses in the area and when it comes to value for price I havent found a match or anything better. I play here 1-2 times a week and enjoy it everytime.
