Course is in great shape. They’re doing a real nice job of improving the condition of the course & keeping it that way. Would recommend this course for a 15 handicap & below as the layout is demanding & not suited for beginners or high handicappers. Beautiful setting.
Much Better
Course conditions are so much better than 2 years ago when I last played it. In good shape now and I will be playing it when I return to the area in July. Still a difficult course!
Great track through the valley
Great layout, elevation changes, greens in great condition.
good course
will play again. enjoyed the layout of the course which makes you think.
The weather was perfect and so is the course. Best round in a while.
Played last year when the weather was not cooperative. This time weather, course condition and pace of the play were all excellent. I hit the single for the first time in 18 months.
Whenever we are in this area, we will not miss the opportunity to play here. It became one of the "must do" item in our trip up north now. Thanks for Golf.now for getting this course in your package. Thanks.
Friendly
I printed my tee time and price, which was $35.00. I gave the cashier my sheet, and he said he could do better than that. He said I could play for $29.00. He asked if I walked this course before, because it is tough to walk, and I told him yes. I told him I walk the Del Norte Course on a daily basis. He then said I would receive the local rate of $21.00. The cashier was extremely friendly, and I appreciate him informing me of the local rate. This saved me $14.00 from the original price I received from this website. Outstanding personnel!
Fun course
Like others have said, keeping the ball in the fairway is the challenge. Bring extra balls. We lost 6 but found 4. Would be hard to walk due to elevation of so many tees and concrete walkways up the hills. The course was in good winter condition.
Scenic Course Tucked Away
Bring lots of balls or better yet, leave your woods in the bag. Several holes are quite tight with sloping fairways, tough to keep in play. If I played it again I would tee off with less club. Several elevated tee boxes and interesting holes, definitely not flat. Conditions are kind of average, think muni but it's very pretty and scenic and for that definitely worth a play.
Very challenging
Second time here in past two years. Great course. My only complaint was after booking here, got to the course and was told I would have to pay for the cart. Never had that happen before. Really cut the savings of golf now.
Bring your GPS
3rd time I have played the course over eight years and it is always challenging. The tee boxes were not clearly marked and yardage information was sparse to non-existent making the course more difficult than it should have been. Bring your GPS.
Great views of the Forrest
Very tight course . You need to bring your "A" game. Lots of deer on the course. Great time! Had a tough front nine but killed the back nine. Every time I come up here on vacation, I will definitely play a round.
Salmon run
Loved it beautiful scenery fun to play would love to play it again
It's definitely worth the drive!
This is one of the most beautiful settings for a course that I've ever played. You must be accurate. The course is shorter and quite narrow with some very fun chutes to hit through off the back tees. There is a great variety of elevation change. Be sure to take a player's guide for your round. If you're going to Bandon to golf, go to this GEM about 1 1/2 hours to the south; you won't be dissapointed.
Straight Shooters Only
Absolutely beautiful course. Ever hole unique and memorable. Winding streams, dense foliage and varied wildlife (river otter included). Need to be straight or bring a lot of balls. Very fair course. Straight you can score, not so straight???
Wish we had a Salmon Run in our neck of the woods.
Are you up for the challenge?
I only took out the driver 5 or 6 times. The course is not very long. You might think easy... wrong! This course is set up to have very specific areas that your next shot must be in or you will be blocked out, in the water off the side of a cliff and so on. Very scenic, deer on the course, lots of streams and hills surround the course. Staff was super nice.
Great course
Will for sure play this course again. Well worth the price
Challenging but still a GRREAT time
You had to pick your shots, not just hit your ball
Played Black tees. Tough driving from there.
The course is in need of TLC.
Very wet and mud on most holes.
Carts are rough, pace was a little slow. Staff was friendly and they have great hot dogs.
I would rate this course as a 6 on a scale of 10. Tee boxes need work and the ladies tee boxes are hard to find.
