About

Rolling Oaks Golf Course in Barron originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1980 before another nine was added in 1999, making it the course you see today. The course features rolling, tree-lined fairways and large greens with subtle contours. More than half the holes on the course are severe doglegs that will require some careful maneuvering. To add some variety to the course there are also some links-style holes that have tall native grasses coming into play. The abundant wetlands including lakes, ponds, streams, and marshes, provide water hazards on several holes. There are a few sand traps but they were added sparingly in order to let the natural hazards shine. Rolling Oaks Golf Course has a challenging layout that requires tremendous accuracy, but it is more approachable than it seems.

Rolling hills was awesome

Friendly staff and for a holiday weekend pace of play good. challenging greens and course in good condition especially with the lack of rain we have been having. I recommend this course and will go again.

Not in good shape

This has been one of our favorite courses. This year, it is not in good shape. Weeds, unkept shrubs and flowers, etc. We won’t be going back soon. It has been a dry year, but it seems like the course has been let go.

GolfNow special time was right after tourney

Played there on a Sunday. Got a good deal on a Hot Time on Golfnow. Unfortunately, it was right after a senior tournament. There were several foursome ahead of us of bad, slow painful to watch golfers. After almost 3 hours to play 9 holes, we quit.

Good course

Good course, seems to play longer than 6000 yards. Greens in excellent condition. Some fairways were half-dead, others were good.

Dont know why the club house was closed due to Covid, no others in the area are. Maybe to keep the regular drinks out.

Great day of golf!

Rolling Oaks is a great course for all skill levels, very enjoyable layout. Very friendly staff all the way from the grounds crew to everyone in the clubhouse! Definitely recommend giving this course a try!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed the course, as it is challenging, yet not overbearing. The greens were speeding and generally in good shape. The course experienced much wind damage to the trees this year, but amazingly did not damage the course in a way that effected the enjoyment of play.

Great Round of Golf!

After all of the storm damage earlier this season the cleanup and local grounds crews have done a great job of getting the course back in the best shape of the season! Great place to golf, I’d recommend it to anyone!

Great outing on a busy holiday weekend

We had to wait for 2 carts prior to teeing off...bust the staff was very informative as to when carts would be available. Wide fairways and great greens....a positive day of golf!
