Located along the banks of its namesake lake, Lake Wissota Golf Course is entirely surrounded by water. Several holes on this championship course play right along the water's edge. Mature trees line the fairways and the angled doglegs require even further accuracy. If you are long or off target, you could also be met with some rough areas that are extremely difficult to get out of. The golf course is on the shorter side at just over 6,000 yards but it requires careful course management and at least fairly straight drives. Water hazards come into play on six holes, most memorably on the par-4 10th, which is arguably the hardest hole on the golf course. This hole wraps around a large pond and requires at least three shots, making a bogey feel much more like a birdie.

Really fun to Play.
Not much there in terms of length, but there are enough shots to make that length is not needed to make this a great place to play. Several holes have great set ups. The greens had some tough spots but I think that is the case for many area courses this year. I would love to play this course again and I plan on it. I really enjoyed all of the holes with water on them.
Course Greens Were Beat Up
The greens were not in great condition. For playing at the beginning of July, and for some of the greens to have dirt spots, I don't think that is acceptable. I was really disappointed with the greens. The course has holes that are on top of eachother. Don't like worrying about hitting someone on another hole or having someone hit me. Just an average course
Beautiful course but....
Beautiful setting on lake Wissota , the bar was below avg.
Beautiful tees and fairways , the greens are in terrible shape. Hard to putt. I live the course but that was a disappointment .
great condition but SLOW
The course was in great condition and beautiful. It took the 2 of us 2 !/2 hours to play the back nine on a Wed. afternoon. We waited on every tee and almost 1/2 hour to start no. 18. Still a very enjoyable round and I do not think this slow of play is typical.
