Hiawatha Golf Club originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1959 and the back nine was added in 1996. Despite having a rather large age difference, the two nines blend together seamlessly. The course sprawls across gently rolling terrain that provides a good amount of elevation changes throughout as well as scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The golf course offers many risk-reward opportunities, including the par-4 third where golfers will have to decide whether to play it safe and enjoy the view by laying up on the top portion of the fairway or to risk bringing out-of-bounds into play by playing for the lower fairway on the drive. There are also bunkers along both the fairway and the green that are just waiting to swallow errant shots.

Great layout and course was in good shape.
First time playing here and I loved it. Layout was very nice and provided a solid challenge. Rained that morning so cart path only but only few holes were wet otherwise not bad. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Nice course
The course plays well with and we have ability to play well on this course. There are no weird or goofy holes. I play senior yes which gives me a chance for par with good shots. This has become one of my favorite courses since it it’s always in great shape and the play times are excellent.
Pleasant course
I have played Hiawatha a few times and it is a always in great shape. From the fairways to the greens always perfect.
The course offers enough challenges but is not overly difficult. Our group is in our 70’s so we play from the senior tees which give us a chance to par holes.
I appreciate that there are no odd or illogical holes on the course. The play flows and distance between the greens to tees is good.
Excellent course
It had rained about 5” within the last 3 days so there were some wet areas, but all playable. It’s a really nice course with interesting holes and layout. Seniors get a good advantage which was nice.
I am looking forward to playing it again. I highly recommend it. I feel it is one the nicest courses in the area.
Don't waste your money!
Pace of play was rotten. The course itself was not appealing and seemed amaturistic. Not fun. The rough was way too thick. Not worth the drive or money.

Fun course. Interesting holes, elevation changes, mature trees, good conditions and conveniently located.. I’d definitely would play it again.

Great value
Website pictures for this course don't do it justice. Course was in great shape and more challenging than I thought. I would recommend to a friend.
Good Old Farm Country Gold Course
Sand traps were packed down, Greens are small, greens rolled true and somewhat fast. Check in staff was at the bar working. Not really open group of folks.
Wouldn't let me play!
Enjoyed my 9, and they booked me a 0700 tee time for the following morning. I arrived at 0630, and the pro shop was still closed. I waited outside with a few other groups. The guy showed up at 0705, and rudely said, "You guys know it's gonna rain?" Ok. Then he let the 0720 group go off in front of me because they prepaid, and he refused to accept my payment! "You probably won't get your round in because it's going to rain," he said again. I left without playing! This was 3 hours ago. It never rained.
