Great Spot.
Great knitted spot for a stop off. Super friendly people Course was a little rough but they’d just had big storms.
Everyone was so nice!
The course is a nice country course. Everyone I ran into was so polite and and as a single they let me play through. I would say the back 9 needs better way signs, I had a hard time finding the correct hole across the highway. I also lost a lot of balls because there was so many leaves! That is totally on me though, lol
Good value
This course layout is beautiful and challenging. Dixie will never be perfect: sand can be hard in the bunkers, they sometimes fall behind with mowing. Overall, you’ll have a good Golf experience.
Local course good value but needs work
This course is in need of some TLC. It's laid out pretty good. Tee boxes are just fairway with markers. Fairways were pretty good and rolled well. The greens look very old but they did play fast. Good value but just needs some money put into it
A very nice golf experience!
I have played some of the nicest courses in America. This is not one of those. Yet, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed my experience! I enjoyed it so much I am going back tomorrow. The staff were nice. The cart was good. The layout is simple and open. The greens were way above average for this level of a golf course. I played first thing in the morning and the pace of play could not have been any better! This is a great Golf Now deal.
Course has great greens
Poor management you book a tee time and you have to wait a long time to get a cart. Needs a course marshal to prevent 4 groups of 4 extremely frustrating waiting on carts due to poor management
Members and staff
My wife got hit by a ball from the group of members behind us and when I called the office to complain they sent a young kid out and he took their side even after watching her get hit by the ball and two more balls getting hit at us and they was a group of 7-8 when the max is supposed to be 5 , so special privileges for members. It was bad enough that we left because it was my daughters first time out there , so sad they had to act like that
I’m proud to be from MS but come on.
Positive:
Middle of the road course. Greens were quick but that could be because of the weather.
Negative:
I would suggest management change the signs at each hole and get rid of the confederate flags and changing the name “Laurel Municipal” possibly. Didn’t realize it until about five holes in. I’m proud to be from MS but that made me shake my head.
Cheap and enjoyable golf.
Greens are in growth stage. They will be better when it warms up.
