Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course

This a super fun course that was in top condition with wall to wall grass. The course is laid out on a relatively square piece of land with no houses in the mix at all. The holes are defined by tree lines and have a few dog legs mixed in. The driving looks are not super tight, but off-lines shot will be punished with either a tree knock-down or a potentially tough shot from the fairly thick and lush rough. The greens were smallish and rolling fast and pure with many subtle breaks. We played 18 holes, which means playing the same 9 holes twice. The course was interesting enough to make two laps in a row fun. I am a 10 index and I shot 43 the first lap and 42 on the next lap. My wife struggled because she was in the rough a lot and it takes some extra strength to muscle shots from the mid-summer rough. The rough might play easier at a different time of year. The course was great to walk with only minor grade changes to negotiate.

9 holes or 18 - it was a great course to play. Enough of a challenge for an average golfer but was just fun for any player......

For a nine hole course, this place is in great shape plenty of shade. Plenty of hazards and the greens are like playing on a pool table!! 👍👍😎

Although small and condensed, it was a fun course! We went around twice for 18 holes.

Had heard about how nice this course was and drove 100+ miles to play it. Should have stayed home and watched football.

Excellent 9 hole golf course. Great condition. Rather challenging.
