Poverty Bay Golf Club

Poverty Bay, a course that dates back to 1893 and a course I've played at least a hundred rounds on as a member back in 1998.

Having lived in NZ for two years and played dozens of courses including Paraparamu, Cape Kidnappers, Wairakei, Ngamotu, Queenstown (Kelvin Heights), Millbrook Resort, Titirangi and The Grange to name a few of the more notable courses, Poverty Bay still remains one of my favorite tracks.

It is a links style course and has by far some of the nicest green complexes to play on as any course in the country. The narrow fairways are complimented with stands of trees and brush, but the majority of the holes are open to the prevailing winds. A fine test of golf awaits you at Poverty Bay Golf Club.
