Lake Fork Golf Course
About
An absolutely gorgeous course that is particularly inviting because of its short length, Lake Fork Golf Club features narrow fairways, medium-sized greens, and a welcome lack of bunkers.
While there are no bunkers, grass moguls frame the fairways, and the course is dotted with small ponds, four of which front greens. In addition to the many mature areas of foliage, the club planted over 4,000 new trees, including thousands of crape myrtles, in the late 1990s.
Two par 3s stand out–both Nos. 2 and 14 demand accurate long-iron approaches.
For course strategy, take the advice of one local who recommended his life-long strategy of choking down and shortening the swing, emphasizing the importance of hitting them straight on this short course
Getting there : Located approximately 8 miles from Emory. Take 515 to 2946, then turn left and drive 3 miles. The course is on the right.

Casual place to play
Was passing through and pulled in for a round. When I checked in at 1000 I could see 3 groups of 4 already in front of me. The women in clubhouse recommended I start on 10. Ended up walking the course in 3 hours and only stopping twice. The course layout is simple with zero bunkers but lots of water on back 9. Though it rained the night before course was maintained quite well. Good course for beginners or high handicappers.
The Best East-Texas golf course
If you want to play a hidden gem of a golf courses, well the Links at lands End is the course you need to play. I have lived in Colorado the past 40 years, and traveled the country a number of times and have played some great courses( TPC-Scottsdale, Wolf Creek, Torrey Pines), and i would have to say that the Links ranks up there with them.Great layout, the views around the course are fantastic. The staff is great, I hope on your visit you get to meet golf pro "Susan A. Johnson, she will make your experience at the course great.
Hi PFRUNK, thank you for the review! We hope you'll come play the course again soon.
